The service was great, the owners were so friendly and they made us feel at home. The food was cooked to a very high standard and the menu had a great selection of breakfast options. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfy, perfect mattress for my back :D My partner and I will definitely return to... More

The title says it all. Quality Bed and Breakfast for either the travelling business man or holiday maker. My hosts were attentive and very informative without being to familiar. The house was spotless, comfortable and nicely appointed.

Just a short mid-week break, hadn't read any reviews about Sonachan House but weren't we lucky to find such a welcoming place?! The accommodation is comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owners are lovely - within minutes we felt as if we had known them for years. The location is good, albeit up a fairly steep hill, within easy walking distance to... More

We stayed there one night and let me tell you we wished we could stay for at least a week. It was clean, the hosts were amazingly welcome. There were five of us, my mother and my three children and they had a commodious, clean, and comfortable space that had plenty of room for all of us. Highly recommended!!

Owners very friendly and helpful. Their attention to detail was impeccable. Room was on the small side but spotlessly clean. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Steepish hill down to the town - easy going down but not so good walking back! I parked the car and used the bus service from the town which was very good. I would recommend... More

Our first visit will not be our last. Julie was really welcoming with a pot of tea and biscuits. Room and all of the property was spotless. The breakfasts were excellent and nothing was too much trouble With just a short walk from the sea, and the steam railway. We wish we had stayed longer, so we intend to return.

We are definitely positive about the whole stay and especially the friendliness of the hosts (showing us a map, the way they took care of us at breakfast, etc.). We will certainly go there again when in Paignton.
