The entrance and public areas are tired and in need of some work. The room was much the same but the bathroom and bed were both clean. It is a pity that the view was not matched by the quality inside. The breakfast dining room was a pleasant surprise, bright well preserved and comfortable. The breakfast itself was good and... More

Had a great 4 days stay. Friendly staff. Rooms could do with some updating. Had the most beautiful sea view from our bedroom window. Would definitely stay there again. Short walk to all the shops and plenty to do there. Breakfast at Preston sands hotel was excellent too.

This hotel is nicely situated, across the road from the beach. Paignton's town is within easy level walking distance and the hotel has car parking. The hotel has beautiful sea views from the lounge, Dining room, and some bedrooms. Food is good and entertainment excellent for a hotel of this size. Comfortable bedroom, friendly staff, all you need for a... More

Location was excellent. Staff very friendly go out of there way to help you. Food was perfect.would recommend booking the evening meal 3 courses for 10 pound with tea or coffee amazing value. Bar prices very reasonable plus cabaret most nights. The hotel was spotless and our room was perfect overlooking the beech.

Our room was at the top of the hotel, a little small and dated , but a most wonderful sea view over the Paignton sands, shower would benefit from more pressure , but something you come to expect in this type of hotel. Breakfast is served between 8.30 and 9.30 and you are allocated a seat by a gentleman with... More

I recently stayed at Preston Sands for 4 nights during a break in Paignton. The hotel is in an excellent location, being about a 10 minute walk along the seafront to the town. The hotel offers free parking although it is the traditional hotel-style "grid" where you can easily get blocked in by other guests, so keep this in mind... More

Whilst the hotel is tired...creaking floorboards, small bathrooms, in need of a lick of paint.. The good points far outweigh these. Lovely friendly staff..ALL OF THEM...from the manager bar staff waiters waitresses and chambermaids literally all helpful smiley faces...nothing too much trouble. Breakfast is a tight ship and no complaints. Didn't have dinner but heard other guests say it was... More

Visited in mid July for a week with coach party. Staff exceptionally helpful and very friendly. The room though basic standard was clean and had all the amenities that you would expect. There was some some train noise but didn't notice it too much, and the hotel is a little out of Paignton. Just one point I would make is though... More
