What a fantastic week, we really didnt want to leave. Paul and Miranda made our stay really special. They are such a lovely couple, they provided fantastic service and constant laughs. The breakfast is second to none and the rooms are perfect. A few feet from the beach and a 10 minute walk to town, you couldnt ask for any... More

My wife and I are coming to the end of a lovely stay at The Culverden Guest House in Paignton. Paul gave us a lovely welcome and our room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. We decided to make our own arrangements for breakfast but I have to say that the dining room looked great and other people staying told us... More

Having never visited this area before, we were made to feel at home the moment we stepped through the door. Paul and Miranda are great hosts and a credit to their profession. The breakfasts were of high quality, the rooms immaculate which means we will be back again!

Very friendly reception on arrival and was met with an immaculate room with good facilities. The breakfasts were imagainative , well presented and superb value for money. Location was good and an easy fifteen minute stroll into the town centre; local information and brochures were readily available from the owners with information also left in the room. Recommended for a... More

We booked the Culverden for a weekend trip to the Torbay area. Paul met us at the door and we were quickly shown our room. I could not fault the cleanliness of the room, or the rest of the property. Miranda and Paul are great hosts and produced an excellent breakfast for us in the mornings. They are a great... More

We stayed at Culverden for a couple of nights over the Jubilee bank holiday weekend. Overall, we thought it was great value for money - why? - Culverden is virtually on the beach front, Miranda and Paul deliver a great personable and friendly service. There are many B&B's within spitting distance of Culverden, but the premium rates you'd end up... More

I do a lot of business travel and have done for a number of years. Out of all the many places I've stayed the Culverden Guest House in Paignton is by far my best experience in terms of service and value you for money. You can stay at the Premier Inn, Travelodge etc but, in my opinion, you won't get... More

I am extremely difficult to accommodate and like things to be right! This guest house was the most friendly and welcoming I have ever stayed at. The entire place is spotless (I also had a snoop around), the showers were powerful and the water always hot. There was the feminine touch at every turn, cotton-wool buds, shampoos, toiletries, the lot!... More
