Our first visit to Paignton and how lucky we hit on Earlston House. A family run small hotel, it is in a quiet but convenient position up a hill near the station and seafront. Rooms are very nicely furnished, comfortable and clean. The owners are welcoming and attentive and kindly provided breakfast, including a packed bacon sandwich to go, early... More

This was our 4th year staying at Earlston House for our annual holiday, and yet again it did not disappoint! Mother and daughter team Marie and Sally, and their family, are warm and welcoming from the moment you arrive. The rooms are clean, spacious, and serviced daily. The public lounge is cosy and family friendly, with a tv and dvd... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Earlston House. Our room was very nice and roomy with a huge bed. Bathroom as well was very spacious. We could see the sea out of our window. A nice breakfast was had each morning with eggs etc cooked to order by the hard working proprietors. There's a nice little bar and lounge area... More

Stayed for the weekend and what a find. Hotel is in a great position in easy walking distance for town centre & sea front, it is up a steep hill so could be difficult for people who have trouble walking but that's the only small negative. The owners are really friendly and welcoming. It is spotlessly clean with lovely rooms, we... More

This is a lovely warm B and B, with large comfortable clean rooms, and a lovely warm homely guest lounge and a friendly proprietress. The breakfast was well cooked and varied. I would most certainly recommend this as a really lovely place to stay in Paignton. There was parking on site which was a bonus - recommended for all ages... More

Excellent Guest House. We stayed in a superior family en-suite which was more than adequate for our needs. We had a clean and tidy room with an en-suite shower room. We were provided with complementary bottled water and biscuits replenished daily along with the usual tea and coffee supplements. We had a full English Breakfast every morning which was excellent and... More

This is a very lovely house to live in but not to stay in! Our room floor creaked and I was aware of every noise I made when closing cupboards and drawers etc., Breakfast was poor with an egg over cooked and crunchy at the bottom, the sausage was so discussing I wanted to spit it out but couldn't as...
