Friendly, accomodating, dog friendly, sea front location but just round the corner from the tourist shopping area. Rooms not "big" but adequate in size, well furnished and clean. Free car parking in front of the hotel and easy access to busses ant trains if you don't want to drive. Dropped one point on overall rating due to not doing evening... more

This hotel is perfectly situated right on the sea front, and 2 minutes walk to the shops restaurants train station etc: Plenty of parking spaces right outside the hotel. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The service is second to none as nothing is too much trouble for Stuart, Kat and Sue. Fabulous Breakfast to set you up... more

We had an overnight break at The Commodore and found a lovely, homely and friendly welcome. Stuart and Kat made us and our two dogs very comfortable. Slept well and came down to a gorgeous full English breakfast which wasn't greasy and had a choice of how your eggs could be done. The bar/lounge was very inviting and sipping a... more

This is like being at home spending time with Kat, Stu, sue & Robbie is as good as staying with friends - great food, good company & fantastic location - could not ask for more! The atmosphere is really relaxed & there is plenty to do. Stuart is never short of giving advice on where to go for great walks. more

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occations. You can't beat the location with the Beach a stones throw and local attractions a two minute walk. The kids love it which always makes for a happy holiday. The bus and train stations are both within walking distance so if you don't have a car this is your... more

We know Stuart, Kat and Sue of old and regularly stayed in Babbacombe at previous hotel. They are the most hospitable bunch, very flexible on many aspects, like rustling up a pot of tea and a sandwich after long journey, letting us walk their Robbie as kids loved him so much, even recommending a walking route to follow to see... more
