Stayed during September and found that this Hotel is in a quiet part of Paignton but still only a few minutes from the beach. No shops nearby but there is a restaurant bar next to the beach and a public house a few doors away from the hotel, but I think was due to close down. You are only a... More

We arrived and had to wait 3 hrs for our room! The room was a tthe top of 3 flights of stairs and quite disappointing! Shower and toilet in a cupboard! Sink right nex to the lumpy, squeaky bed! Not a great nights sleep! 4 stars? Not sure how, but the breakfast was tasty but he dining room was cramped.

We booked The Bronte at Paignton on Bid.com and the room looked ok but they neglect to tell you which floor you are on.When we arrived we paid the full amount plus there is an extra charge for breakfast which might I add was very good for a full English.I myself struggled to get up and down stairs because I... Visited for a couple of nights for family break by the sea, location fantastic, comfort fantastic, rooms clean and comfortable, toilet a tad small but to be expected, hosts very approachable and pleasant , didn't try the breakfast , forgot to ask what fabric softener they used as it smelt gorgeous! Will visit again when in area!

Good value for your money and excellent location, parking space in front of the building, as well as free wifi throughout the house. We stayed in an en-suite twin room which was tidy and comfortable. The host was friendly and took his time to chat with us.

Although the owner is very helpful and looking for solutions, you'd have to like this sort of hotel. A bit shabby, very noisy, heavy smell of some sort of room perfume and very small rooms. We booked through Expedia and they selected juist a double room while we are travelling with 2 teenagers. Basically that's where it went wrong in... More

We were sorry this Dutch family were unhappy with their accommodation. They booked their accommodation via Expedia & although they were travelling as two adults & two teenage children they had been allocated by the agent a family room with a double bed & a single bed in it. After juggling rooms about we were able to accommodate them by... More

I stayed here for 3 nights for a trip to Paignton. The Bronte was In a fantastic location for the seafront, literally 2 mins walk away. The area was also fairly quiet and felt safe in the evenings. The room was larger then expected with plenty of storage space, the bed was comfortable but we did find the pillows a... More

The Bronte is a lovely place and owners Paul and Gail were so kind to us. We are OAPs with limited mobility and nothing was too much trouble for them - Thank you both for a lovely stay and we will be back in early autumn - Doug and Sue.

Booked 4 nights for our first family holiday. Arrived slightly early and greeted warmly by Paul & Gail. Very understanding of our 2 year old's tantrums. Made us all feel very welcome, our room suited our needs perfectly and at a great price too. Guest living room and dining room available as well as computers & free wifi. We had... More

Just down in Paignton from Poole for the weekend, needed a basic B&B, but got a very pleasant surprise. Clean, very friendly (Paul the boss - ex-Navy, helpful, lovely, great breakfasts!), rooms small but very ergonomically kitted with everything you could want - we stayed in & had a picnic in the room watching telly!... Easy to get to &... More
