My wife & I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and were not dissapointed. From the moment we arrived the staff were helpful, curteous and friendly. We requested additional pillows from the house keeper and when we returned they were on the bed. each evening I went to the bar and asked for some water and ice to take... More

I've stayed here a few times now and I can honestly say it's a decent hotel if you have done this on a budget. But if you payed £50 or £60 for your room you may be disappointed. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Although there is isn't always someone on reception. Which can be irritating if your in... More

If your looking for somewhere cheap to eat but still delicious then this Is the place to go. Good choice of food, quick service and friendly .never had a bad meal from here yet :) although I did once order a vegetarian chilli and ended up getting a meat chilli con Carne. The waitress was nothing but apologetic though.

We stayed two nights recently, with a room we thought might be noisy but wasn't. The room itself was really good and clean, bed and pillows very comfortable and I thought biscuits and bottled water in the room was a good touch. The bathroom slightly let the hotel down, it looked as if it had been done up well in... More

Stayed at the Brocket Arms twice within the last month, once for a wedding and then for a christening, on both occasions the stay was comfortable, enjoyable and reasonably priced with clean tidy rooms and friendly staff. We ate down in the bar and although this was bar food it was very good and at a reasonable price which was served very... This was our third stay at the Brocket though the first time we've stayed on a weekend night. No real complaints on the hotel side of our stay. Check in was efficient and friendly and our room warm and clean with a comfy bed. Only problem was a leaky tap in the bathroom which caused a wet floor. We had... More

We stayed over night whilst travelling further south to break up the trip. I was very pleasantly surprised by the standard of the room for the money we paid. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly on arrival and asked us to let her know if we were not happy with room. We had... More

From the outside this Hotel might seem somewhat austere however once inside you will be amazed. Plush carpets, polished brass and mahogany panelling and that's just the corridors. My top three requirements of a hotel bed room are, a comfortable bed, absence of noise and a shower that works properly. In this case all three scored ten out of ten... More

A very large family room with one double and two singles (not sofa beds!) so kids happy. Check in very friendly and informative. A very busy eating pub, had steaks and excellent, being a Whetherspoons hotel excellent price too. One small gripe, a lot of noise outside after one in the morning with people talking loudly. Overall stay brilliant, oh... More

Called in for breakfast. Nice large restaurant and looked very clean. Service was very prompt and the food was way above average even unlimited coffee refills. Will definitely be going back again. Excellent value for money.
