Went last night for tea with my husband, pub grub was lovley and price was fine. We had 2 mains and 2 pudding and 3 cokes £25. The pub is lovely, nice decor, gas fires roarin. Its a classy pub. Outside had heated tables and fairy lights. Really enjoyed it. Staff was nice. Really was a lovely evening.

We visit this pub abou every 3-4 months, meeting friends from Wigan. Recently, the quality of the meals has plummeted markedly. The food on our last visit was so poor that I felt compelled to write another review (my first review, a couple of years ago, awarding the pub 4*). It is with regret that we will not be visiting... When walking in and asking for a table we were told we would be seated shortly( approx 10 mins) an hour later I am still waiting to be seated! No explaination from the staff as to why there is such a wait and counting at least 10 empty tables. The staff have no customer service skills to speak of. When... More

I muat juat say that I do frequent this establishment regularly and for food and drink. The service is always good and the food very good the bear is excellent. The location off J25 makes it easy to get to and from. All in all a fantastic time and place to go.

We were greeted by a very friendly waitress (seating customers at 4pm 26.7.14). She remain jovial throughout and truly was an asset to the business. Service was very slow with gaps in receiving drinks, between courses and getting the bill. There seemed a lot of staff for this to be the case. Food was of reasonable quality and the chef... More
