Stayed here on a recent business trip to the lovely Durham - the hotel is located close the A1 and easy to find outside the city centre. The lady who checked me in was very friendly and check in was very easy. I was also given a free voucher & towel to use the adjacent leisure centre. Once I got... More

This was a business trip for one night. Checking in was simple and the two people on reception were friendly and helpful. My room was on the first floor, and the signs clearly showed me the way. I found the room to be extremely hot - the heating was turned up to max, I had to turn it down to... More

Stopped here for buisness for one night, rooms are big and spacious, shower was great, beds are a bit soft to be honest. Heating was on full whack when i got there and even with the windows open for over an hour it was still boiling! I had to leave window open all night which then got a bit of... More

Stayed for one night one New Year's Eve. We asked for an early check in and were very pleased the hotel were able to accommodate. Greeted by a very friendly, efficient receptionist and went straight up to the room. The room was clean, if basic, but had everything we needed for a one night stay. Very quiet too considering A1... I have never written a review before but having stayed at this 'hotel' over the weekend I decided to sign up to Trip Advisor. Firstly the entire property is poorly built and requires complete refurbishment. The carpets are well worn and the environment is more like an A&E waiting room than a hotel. The room we were staying in was... More

Family room, basic, practical and clean. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Reasonable rates. Close to Durham. Parking is easy and local bus services make travelling easy. On the downside it is close to A1.
