Fabulous service from staff - better than many 4 star hotels. We felt that it was genuinely important to them that we enjoyed our stay. The room was as advertised with better design and layout than many I've stayed in. We had breakfast the next morning which was also good quality and good value. Will definitely stay with Premier Inn...

We stayed at this hotel, for the second time, to drop our son off at university. We had a great stay last time but this time it was exceptional. We had pre-booked a table at a restaurant in town and had asked the receptionist to book us a taxi - she tried every firm in Durham bit could not get...

Whilst not in the most salubrious of positions, a Premier Inn handy for Durham and Newcastle etc. We found service and staff excellent. Even the food seemed to have an extra touch If traveling either way, just two minutes to the A1/M1.
I always enjoy premier inn and this was no exception. clean comfortable fresh rooms and a good night's sleep. It is a walk to the centre. about 40 mins downhill so good if you need some excercise. there is also a bus service getting you to very close to the hotel.

From the warm welcome we received on arrival to the cheery goodbye as we left we really could not fault this hotel. The room was clean, modern and comfortable and we heard no noise from other guests at all. The...

This hotel is very good except for the selfish people who allow their children to run up and down the corridors and to the relentless banging of the bedroom doors.
The rooms were very well in the cleanliness department, tea and coffee making facilities were in each room.
The bathroom was also very clean. Clean towels every day.
The bed...

We stayed the night here after a lot of travelling and a day at the Sunderland football match. The room was lovely and clean, bed very comfy and we enjoyed a very good nights sleep even though it was Saturday night we never heard any noise at all. The only thing that let it down was the restaurant next door,...

Needed to spend a couple of nights in Durham for work with a bit of sightseeing in between and when arrangements to stay with friends fell through thought this Inn would do. The great thing about the Premier chain is that if you've stayed in one you know what to expect and when you're not expecting a luxury boutique hotel...

I like premier Inns and especially the purpose built ones. The one at durham East is in a great location. Close enough to the motorway for easy access but far enough away so that you can't hear it.
Breakfast on the first morning was a little dissapointing as they had ran out of a couple of things and I didn't...
