I stayed for 1 night. The car wash was annoying me. I couldn't park my car there I had to park round a narrow car park at the side. It has a hedge and directly behind it the hotel/ disabled entrance. The food was terrible it was the worst meal I've eaten ever. Who ever had "cooked" that meal should... More

This place is not a place to consider eating at, going by our festive day lunch .We , 13 of us went, and what a big disappointment . I should have realised , when the owner rang ,me a week before asking for the full amount of money after paying the deposit. At the time I was poorly and could only... More

I was attending my daughter's graduation and booked with the lodge 6 months ago. When we arrived we were told that the last room had been taken. There was no apology. we since have found out that the hotel has recently been sold and all the old bookings were lost. i am disgusted with the lack of concern from the... More

This is quite simply the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in western Europe. It is a hotel in name only and I will never book a hotel again without heeding the reviews. We arrived and immediately had difficulty discovering where reception was let alone a receptionist; after a few minutes of wondering around aimlessly the cook came out... More

The Lodge is advertised as a bnb; the sign outside says bnb and we were told that continental breakfast was served from 8 til 9.30 *but* when we got up the next day we found the hotel shut and locked up and eventually were told that they had stopped serving breakfasts 6 months ago! Not only were we not offered... More

We were moved after the 1st of 5 nights because of a leak in the bathroom, but the shower in 2nd room came out in a warm trickle and impossible to use. No soap, and a charge of 50p for sachet of shampoo and shower gel. No heating in bathroom, we used it as a fridge and kept our milk... More

Having just spent 5 nights at The Lodge I can honestly say "Do not touch it with a barge pole"! No service whatsoever. No breakfast - no hot water in my room - charged for everything that you might expect as standard!

I recently visited the lodge as part of a wedding party. The wedding party was due to arrive at the venue for around 6pm in preparation for the evening function to begin at 7pm. From the moment of arrival things went down hill rapidly. On entering the lodge we were informed that the buffet had already been laid out. Even... More

Worst place I have ever stepped into. With the exception of the young girl behind the bar staff are so unprofessional and lack competence in the hospitality industry. Dirty toilets, cheap branded soft drinks and alcohol from cans and boxes, need I go on
