Inspired by all the good reviews, my recent stay had both positives and negatives. First the negatives, a front facing room was noisy from a) the traffic/main road and b) the early boiler or heating switch on. Also, the room and bathroom could be considered just too small for some and particularly if you were a couple. Although I am... More

Whilst looking for a place to stay over night in and around Barnstaple in Devon we came across the Yeo Dale Hotel and thought since it had gained several favourable reviews we would give it a try. Well, we were not disappointed we had a very nice stay. The owners gave us a very warm welcome plus a very detailed... More

I came to Barnstaple to check out my Ancestry. The Yeo Dale Hotel is in perfect spot in which to reach the town centre. Room 10 was perfect for what I wanted, warm and cosy. Breakfast was yummy and fresh. Barnstaple is a beautiful spot.

The owners offer a warm welcome and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. I found the breakfast to be of a very high standard, however an evening meal was not available. Parking can be a problem, there is a very small car park opposite but there is nowhere else available as it seems that Barnstaple has... More

Returned to stay at the Yeo Dale three years after my last stay there. Easy to find in a good location on the river, with convenient parking just a few steps away. Nice old property, quite imposing facade and nice wide entrance hall. Paul, the owner is very friendly and helpful and a great cook. The room was really well... More

This is no hotel, located opposite the fire station and on main route to the hospital so not the place for peace and quite. Parking a real problem too. The room was straight out of the Waltons, chinz overload or what. Breakfast was passable but not great and wouldn't stay here again. WiFi also poor to round it off.

this hotel was recommend to me by a customer who knew the owners, I stayed one night, the owner is very friendly, the rooms are very nice, and the breakfast was excellent, they even had gluten free bread and sausages, the only downsides are the breakfast orange juice( not so nice) and the road noise at the front, but overall... I stayed on a Friday and Saturday night for a wedding in Barnstaple on the Satuday. I had a single room on the top floor. Everything was spotless and the bed comfy. The tv not only worked but was tuned in to the correct channels (unusual!!). Breakfast excellent. But most of all was the warm welcome. Well done, and if... More

Stayed here for one night for work. Really helpful staff and very good breakfast. My room was clean and bright. Parking could be a problem as you have to park on the street. However I would stay here again on a passing visit.

I have been meaning to write a review for this hotel for some time! I have stayed here at least four times for business and it is becoming a bit of a home away from home. I couldn't fault anything about my stay at this hotel at all. The owners, Paul and Sarah, are so welcoming and friendly. I would... More
