We just returned form staying there for 4 nights for just a wee break in the West Lake District. We paid £19.50 per night, so 4 nights for £78 is not bad going. We stayed here whilst visiting family, there is a lack of good hotels in the area. The room was quite grim, walls were grubby, the lamp shades were dirty and the sofa bed was filthy. It would really benefit from a lick of paint and a deep clean.

It's a Travelodge so providing you know what to expect from one - clean, basic, functional - you won't be disappointed. My room was was quiet, warm and clean and my interactions with the staff were all positive. Good location on the edge of the town and ideal for a business/short stay.

We stayed here for one night to visit south lakes zoo the next day. the room was clean and basic and bathroom was practical and shower lovely. at 15 for the night its not going to be the ritz but good for money. shame barrows a bit miserable
