I stayed here for one night and received a friendly and welcoming reception. After being shown to my room which looks as though it has had a recent upgrade I headed to the bar for dinner. A word of warning here, bring a hearty appetite as the portion size is huge! Again all the staff were very friendly and professional.... More

The food here is simply amazing. The portions are massive and healthy and the food is just delicious !! I want to go back just for the food - BBQ chicken wrap no cheese and curly fries. Amazing. Definatley have to go to this place for the perfect meal.

I have stayed in all the hotels in Barrow over the last 20 years and Jeffersons is the best one I have stayed in for all the facilities, friendlyness of all the staff, huge portions in the resturant, with a veried menu

Stayed at Jefferson's and enjoyed it very much. The staff was helpful and friendly, the room was very comfortable and the food excellent. Only problem I had was the long walk up the stairs to get to our room.

Stayed one night on business. Jeffersons is easy to find, a short walk from the railway station and centrally located in town. It's a pub as well as a hotel. Staff were really helpful and friendly throughout my stay. Room was clean, comfy and well equipped with good wifi, iron/board, big TV, tea/coffee etc. Bathroom was modern & clean. Food... More

I stayed at the Jeffersons Hotel in the working week from February 2014 - October 2014. After trying various other locations in the area, this one first appealed because of its convenient location from both the train station and the shipyard. I opted for the 'apartment' whilst staying at Jeffersons and it truly felt like a home. Even though each... More

I stayed here over the bank holiday weekend and the room was lovely and clean and very comfortable too. Both the owner and staff could not do enough for us during our stay, very friendly. After a long drive we ate in the pub and the food and service was excellent, my husband and I both throughly enjoyed our meal... More

Ok so it's on our door step but we've been going for years and have never ever had a reason to find fault. It's a traditional Victorian pub that is exceptionally well maintained, spotless, and comfortable. When dining during the week, you wouldn't guess it's crammed to the rafters with Saturday night revelers. The menu has plenty of choices for... More

Having been staying at The Jeffersons during the working week since last October, I have found, without exception the hotel to be clean, comfortable and welcoming. There’s a good choice of evening meals and all great value with large portions of homemade food. Worth a special mention is the staff, Jacqui, Stewart and all the bar/restaurant staff are always welcoming,... More

Stayed here from July 2013 to March 2014 whilst working at "the Yard". I had previously stayed at a hotel in Dalton but that hotel was just a little too far from the workplace and had unreliable reception staff who didn't arrive as early as they promised in the mornings which meant that I was never sure of getting to...
