I stayed at the Jeffersons Hotel in the working week from February 2014 - October 2014. After trying various other locations in the area, this one first appealed because of its convenient location from both the train station and the shipyard. I opted for the 'apartment' whilst staying at Jeffersons and it truly felt like a home. Even though each... More

I stayed here over the bank holiday weekend and the room was lovely and clean and very comfortable too. Both the owner and staff could not do enough for us during our stay, very friendly. After a long drive we ate in the pub and the food and service was excellent, my husband and I both throughly enjoyed our meal... More

Ok so it's on our door step but we've been going for years and have never ever had a reason to find fault. It's a traditional Victorian pub that is exceptionally well maintained, spotless, and comfortable. When dining during the week, you wouldn't guess it's crammed to the rafters with Saturday night revelers. The menu has plenty of choices for... More

Having been staying at The Jeffersons during the working week since last October, I have found, without exception the hotel to be clean, comfortable and welcoming. There’s a good choice of evening meals and all great value with large portions of homemade food. Worth a special mention is the staff, Jacqui, Stewart and all the bar/restaurant staff are always welcoming,... More

Stayed here from July 2013 to March 2014 whilst working at "the Yard". I had previously stayed at a hotel in Dalton but that hotel was just a little too far from the workplace and had unreliable reception staff who didn't arrive as early as they promised in the mornings which meant that I was never sure of getting to... As a frequently traveller I can say, no doubt, excellent hotel. Probably I´ll be back. Chris, Jackie and hotel´s team are very nice and friendly as well. Visiting Barrow in Furness you will not find another hotel with good price and confortable like this. Luiz Augusto - Rio de Janeiro - Brasil

Very nice location: close to the 24 hours open market; train station; restaurant; and gym. They offer discount in Nuffield Health gym. The accommodation is so comfortable, the apartment kitchen is brand new and very well equipped. The Hotel works together to Jefferson's Pub, very good food and beer. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We found Jefferson's to be well located - we could walk to just about everything we wanted to see and do in Barrow. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly and the breakfasts are more than generous. We have stayed at several Bed and Breakfasts in the Lakes region and this was definitely the most generous and had the best... More

Many thanks for your comments and taking the time to leave a review. We have worked very hard to create a welcoming atmosphere in our... More

Found the room to be very clean, tidy and fresh. It came across as though it was a brand new room of a high specification. Found the staff to be very friendly, welcoming and helpful and when we did require something not found in the room they were very quick to meet our needs. The breakfast was generous but not... More

The hotel is situated in the centre of Barrow, very easily accessible. It s on a pub but that does not cause any disturbance to the guests. Breakfast was good. Staff friendly. The only downside rooms were overpriced.
