Stayed last Thursday and Friday night. Cannot fault this well run place. How anyone can find anything negative to say about it baffles me. Linda and I stayed in Room 1, a big room, comfortable double bed with a lovely en-suite bathroom. Shower was spot on.Lovely breakfast with a good choice available. Handy parking in an area covered in double... More

I love a good moan but I can't justify one about the Eastbourne - five minutes walk from Bowness Centre and about twenty minutes walk from Windermere town, nice and clean, lovely breakfasts (as much cereal and orange juice as you like), plenty of fry up, unobtrusive and pleasant staff, prices reasonable to cheap, nice room with telly and en-suite,... Although it was a lovely period property, and the rooms were clean and tastefully decorated, the Hostess Marina's hospitality skills left a lot to be desired !! She spoke in a very cold abrupt manner and came across as unfriendly and unapproachable. She did however manage to force a smile at checkout when we settled our account, but this consisted of her shoving an... My boyfriend and I have just returned from a lovely stay at Eastbourne, ideal location as was only a 5 minute walk bars, restaurants and town. The whole place is immaculate, the service was helpful and pleasant without being invasive. The breakfast was lovely. Only met Martin upon checking out and he was very polite and friendly. The staff were... More

This small guest house is in an ideal location to explore the lovely area known as the Lakes District in the North-West part of England. A 10 minute pleasant walk to the Lake and plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops to keep you interested! We were given a ground floor room which was really large and well furnished. Breakfast was... stayed for just 2 night in july 2014, everything you would want in a B&B and more, clean, quiet, walking distance from town centre, B/F excellent. Walk in shower, ironing board/iron, clean white towels and linen, private parking, no fuss. Would definately re-visit. Deek, Scotland.

I have gone to great effort to take notes and report here our experience. This expose is not to bash or get back at the owners, rather to accurately report what we encountered after an extended stay of eight nights (May 30 – June 7) in Rooms 1 and 3, which are the largest. Upon arriving and opening the door... More

Right near centre - everything within walking distance. No road noise. Parking - reserved with permit was a real bonus Good sized room with tea/coffee making facilities, tv etc. Wi-Fi really good - 2 networks as walls thick! Breakfast average. Very accommodating people e.g. arrive when you like Lovely place, decorated to a high standard

Having booked this hotel for what I thought was for 2 nights, via Booking.com, then realising on the confirmation email that I had only booked for one night, I went back on to the site and tried to book a second, you can imagine my dread when it said "fully booked", I promptly phoned the owner; Martin, who very kindly...
