We Stayed in room 4, and our other party in room 2, Dave and Manny made us feel really welcome even though we had arrived early. our bags were taken to the rooms and fresh milk was provided in the perfectly clean full size fridge. Everything was extremely clean, especially the bedding which both smelled beautiful and felt silky. Breakfast... More

Other reviews are on the ball Lake View does what it says on the tin it provides good breakfast in a prime location with no airs and graces .We had a triple room and it was huge with a settee a fridge a dressing area. The rooms were clean and provided good accommodation for five tired walkers.

I stayed at Lake View for 2 nights for a walking weekend. The room was perfect with views front and back, plenty of room with a sitting room area as well as twin beds. As we were up early, we were provided with cereals in our room and fresh milk in the fridge. One the second day we had a... More

Stayed four days at Lake View with my feisty but 90 year old mother, having read excellent reviews on here. Everything came up to expectation, and beyond. Spotlessly clean, large room, comfortable beds, modestly priced, lots of hot water for the effective shower, free wi-fi and a TV, both easy to use. The wonderful breakfast, cooked to order, is mentioned... More

Myself and my six year old daughter stayed here for two nights on the run up to the Easter bank holiday weekend. The room was comfortable and the whole place was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The room was well furnished and there was everything that anyone could need, from fresh milk in the fridge... More

Dave & Manny keep this place in tip top condition, not a speck of dust anywhere. They make you feel at home and are happy to tell you the interesting things to do/see/experience in Windermere. Apart from the amazing breakfast they serve each morning (this could be the reason I went back!), there's also yummy biscuits, fresh milk, coffee/tea in... More

We stayed here for 2 nights for our 2nd year anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed it, on our arrival we were greeted by Dave who showed us our room and gave us our parking pass. The room was on the top floor (room 3) and was absolutly perfect for our needs, with a kingsize bed, sofa, chair, coffee table, tv, radio,... More

We arrived at Windermere by train. From the Windermere station, there are 3 options to goto Bowness-on-Windermere (Bowness in short). Bowness is 1.5 miles from Windermere. 1st option: Walk. The towns of Windermere are so connected that you cannot make out when Windermere finishes and Bowness starts. 2nd option: Cab. Fares start at 7.40 GBP. We took cab and the... More
