My husband and I stayed with our two children in a family room. I was competing in the Great North Swim and it was a good location to get to the ferry (10 mins walk). The facilities are good, free wifi, tv, dvd's and xbox - not that we used any of these as we were too busy enjoying the... More

Very clean, tea/coffee making facilities in the room which I found to be a nice touch. Comfy bed!! Lovely ample breakfast. Owners gave a nice warm welcoming. Good parking/WIFI and FAB location - right in the centre with a 2 minute walk to the lake. Would highly recommend and will definitely return for another stay.

We stayed for the long weekend and really enjoyed our stay even if the facilities were a bit on the basic side. Breakfast was very nice and the location is very convenient to everything in town. Beds were comfortable but shower had pretty low pressure and toilet hard to flush.

This is a nice place just on the outskirts of the town centre, it is handy for everything within a few minutes walk (5 mins) yet at night it was silent outside. It is just off the main road yet still very quiet. The owners are still new at being Guest House owners but they are doing a god job,... More

What a lovely place to relax after a busy day sight seeing in the lovely Lake District. As soon as you turn into the road where the lodge is the peace and quiet is immediate after the hustle and bustle of Bowness. It is perfectly situated for exploring the town especially for a 5 year old with little legs and... More

Neat little place very well run by Rob and Karen. The hosts are very helpful like the people of this town. Location is great . Would recomend it for visitors. Our room had a little window and a big sized bathroom right across. The three beds were placed in a tight spot, but all the basic facilities were provided like... More

We were welcomed by Karen on arrival and spent one night at the lodge which was exceptionally clean and comfortable! Although the room was small, the bed was comfy and we slept well! Full English Breakfast was perfect looking out onto a beautiful garden. The only downside was the shower which took ages to warm up - there was so... More
