This is a nice place just on the outskirts of the town centre, it is handy for everything within a few minutes walk (5 mins) yet at night it was silent outside. It is just off the main road yet still very quiet. The owners are still new at being Guest House owners but they are doing a god job,... More

What a lovely place to relax after a busy day sight seeing in the lovely Lake District. As soon as you turn into the road where the lodge is the peace and quiet is immediate after the hustle and bustle of Bowness. It is perfectly situated for exploring the town especially for a 5 year old with little legs and... More

Neat little place very well run by Rob and Karen. The hosts are very helpful like the people of this town. Location is great . Would recomend it for visitors. Our room had a little window and a big sized bathroom right across. The three beds were placed in a tight spot, but all the basic facilities were provided like... More

We were welcomed by Karen on arrival and spent one night at the lodge which was exceptionally clean and comfortable! Although the room was small, the bed was comfy and we slept well! Full English Breakfast was perfect looking out onto a beautiful garden. The only downside was the shower which took ages to warm up - there was so... More

It's a nice place to stay and while the owners are a bit standoffish, they were not impolite. The rooms were warm and cozy and the beds were comfortable. It's a beautiful setting and gives one quite the feel of the English countryside. For the money I would recommend this place.

We booked a one night stay at Elim Lodge as we have stayed twice before and we have never had any complaints. On previous stays we have stayed in room 6 which is at the very top of the b&b and we were delighted to hear we were going to have the same room again this time. Room 6 is... More

I stayed here for a night with a friend this week, it's a great little place in an excellent location. The owners were very pleasurable to talk to and we arrived early but could still use the parking. The room itself was perfect for what we needed, the only downside is that the bathroom wasn't connected, but was private for... More

elim lodge was the last night of our 130km dales way walk. All the other B&B's we had stayed at were great. this was a big disappointment. when we arrived, the greeting was kind, and we were informed our bags had been taken up to our room. Room six. on the top floor. we thought....great! but then after climbing up... More

This room is our most requested room by returning guests, as it is not a standard block. Even on checkout, when asked was everything OK, the guest said that it was. If it was such a big issue, why did they not tell us and give us the opportunity to transfer them to a different room? More

Arrived at Elim Lodge for a short stay in June (3 days) and was pleasantly surprised by the size of our room. However, that is where comfort ends. We had no car for transport so if we were not out walking or eating we were trapped (3 of us) in our room. I suppose it's my fault for not doing... More
