Date of stay : Saturday February 6th 2016 We booked the room only a few days before the visit via booking.com. We knew exactly the type of room we were getting as well as the fact it would have a separate toilet and shower (there was a sink in the room). The room was big enough for the two of... More

We visited over the new year and (apart from rain) we had an excellent time, both Karen and rob we're welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was delicious and set you up perfectly for the day. Good parking got straight in, only negative was that our shower didn't have a lock on but it was a private shower... More

We stayed during the recent storms and despite the weather had an excellent time. The owners were nothing short of fantastic!! Really made me and my girlfriend feel at home. We stayed the first night in room 2 which had a drip from the sash window due to the relentless rain that the storm Desmond brought to the area. I... More

I was on my solo hike trip to the Lake District national park and well I can say that I couldn't have got any better reception and service like I got from Rob and Karen. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Good sanitary conditions. They also gave good options for breakfast. The best part was that it's just a... More

We stayed here one night as a family of three. The room was a lovely size for us & we found the beds very comfy. In the room was everything you could want.. The b&b is a beautiful house and its owners are very welcoming & kind. Ps thumps up for the breakfast too 👍🏻

Spent a lovely couple of days here at the beginning of the month. The Lodge is very well located - just off the main street, on a very nice peaceful road. Sitting in the front garden, enjoying a coffee in the sun we couldn't tell that we were only a few hundred yards from the main street. The lodge is... More

Booked for one night, the lowest price in the area - good value with breakfast and parking, or at least good value for the Lake District. Clean and adequate room, nothing special to warrant a full five stars but OK. A few rules to get your head around, as others have found judging by the reviews. For example it took... More

We stayed here for 1 night at the end of our walk. The room was small, but cosy, with a private loo and a tiny private shower room, both a few steps down from the room. Breakfast was good and the owners were very pleasant. The location was very good. We paid £60 for the room which was comparable with... More

Stayed here only for one night, we booked it due to the price and the free parking. Lovely little room right at the top of the house with a nice hot shower. Couple of things to note.... When we arrived there were work men laying some concrete in the small car park so we were unable to park. But as... More

What a complete idiot we have here – yes we did have wok men working in the car park who asked you to wait before parking so not to get mud or concrete on your car and yes you may have been parking for a only a few minutes to collect the keys but you do not park on someone... More

We arrived for our 2 nights stay, owners were very friendly and polite, we were happy with the location to Windermere, free parking off road, beds comfy and room very clean, cooked breakfast lovely but quite small, ensuite bathroom seemed to be a bit of a cheap add in, shower not very powerful, windows in room did not stay open...
