My partner and I recently stayed here for a weekend away. The service was brilliant the room was spacious and clean. We were right in the heart of the town so had everything within walking distance the only downfall was lack of parking however we parked in a local car park less than 5 mins away which only cost us... Just returned from a weekend trip, stayed in the annex- room 5. Room was lovely, view not great but everything else made up for this. Wet room was amazing, room spacious and couldn't have asked for more helpful staff. We arrived late Friday evening and with no change for the car park, the manager let us park up on the... More

We stayed for one night in October, on first impressions wasn't very impressed, no one to greet you, you hAve to go to the pub next door, shown the rooms by the man working in pub, my fathers room which was a superior room, was adequate for requirements, our room in the main house again was comfortable but in need... We ate at the white house restaurant and hotel. Never again. The staff were not interested, she disappeared to do something wandering back several minutes later with no apology. We ordered and the food arrived quickly. The steak and ale pie tasted of too much pepper and the 8oz gammon steak was about 3oz and burnt to a crisp. The... More

We stayed in the annex - room 5 just round the side of Churchills Pub - which also belongs to the White House. Room spacious enough, wet room plenty big enough. Bed comfy. However everything else was a bit slapdash and in big need of TLC - We shared the room with 4 spiders and a daddy long legs! No... More

Spent 3 nights with my wife, not bad for £260 with breakfast . Room was pleasant enough. found the staff your friendly and eager to please, breakfast was fine no complaints at all about it. As for parking £15 for 3 days at the long stay car park 2 mins walk away I thought was very reasonable. All in all... More

I arrived at this hotel at a quarter to nine in the evening after a long 14 hour days work. The booking had been made in advance. Imagine my horror when the owner told me that he had double booked the room (due to a busy Bank Holiday) and had been trying to contact me !!. He was not apologetic... More

I haven't actually been to this hotel but judging by the previous comments I'm glad that I didn't go through with the booking I attempted to make today. On booking.com it states £85 for standard or superior family room with breakfast. However I had trouble with the site so phoned the hotel directly to be told it would be £135... More

I would like to start this review by saying how good the staff were. All very pleasant. We stayed in Room 2 of the Annexe, The foyer was full of laundry bags the 2 days we were there which wasn't welcoming. The grounds looked as if they needed completing. Everywhere looks like it needs a good lick of paint (which... More
