We stayed here for New Year this hotel is in a excellent location for Bowness even though you can't see the Lake.Room 5 had a superb bathroom-(a fantastic wetroom)as well as being fairly spacious, however the service was shambolic!! Poor Sebastien was left alone to serve breakfast for 14 rooms, which had to be split into 2 sittings, an almost... More

we stayed at this hotel after our children purchased a voucher for our Christmas present. To be honest we would not have picked the hotel due to previous bad reviews we had viewed. On arrival we were met by Sebastian who is quite frankly the only good point I can mention other than its great location. We were initially given... More

Me and my husband went to Bowness-on-Windermere for winter holidays. Once we got there, we had to pick up the keys at the pub nearby as we came too early. We appreciated that we could check in earlier. The guy at the pub was very helpful. In the morning we had a lovely breakfast in the hotel. Our room, though... More

On the plus side the location right in the centre of Bowness is brilliant. The hotel has no private parking but is only a couple of hundred yards from the big Ray Rigg carpark charging £15 for 3 nights which we didn't feel was unreasonable. Our Room (6) was perfectly adequate and the bed comfortable. However beware of the very... More

Our room was ok, clean enough although the bathroom somewhat tired. Sebastian had clearly been left to cope on his own, and largely did cope, but he clearly didn't know where things were such as a corkscrew. We were staying out of season, so not much trade in the restaurant. What they served was reasonable, but not fantastic. The location... More

Just not what we expected very like a youth hostel! Superior room is not superior bed dipped in middle stained carpet mould on walls £90 a night is cheap in Bowness but only stayed as there was no where else available. Although service was extremely slow at breakfast staff are very pleasant & the breakfast was really nice but wouldn't... More

Enjoyable stay, good location very close to car parking and seemed very central location in town. Nice and friendly staff, decent enough breakfast in the morning too between 9-10. Would definitely stay again.

My partner and I recently stayed here for a weekend away. The service was brilliant the room was spacious and clean. We were right in the heart of the town so had everything within walking distance the only downfall was lack of parking however we parked in a local car park less than 5 mins away which only cost us... Just returned from a weekend trip, stayed in the annex- room 5. Room was lovely, view not great but everything else made up for this. Wet room was amazing, room spacious and couldn't have asked for more helpful staff. We arrived late Friday evening and with no change for the car park, the manager let us park up on the... More

We stayed for one night in October, on first impressions wasn't very impressed, no one to greet you, you hAve to go to the pub next door, shown the rooms by the man working in pub, my fathers room which was a superior room, was adequate for requirements, our room in the main house again was comfortable but in need...
