Me and my better half have recently spent two nights at Storrs Hall, our first long weekend away. We'd decided on Storrs Hall within a week of arrival and from arrival to departure, the service that we received was nothing short of exemplary. Examples of this, include that on our second night there, we were in the drawing room when... More

We visited in early June , this was a anniversary treat from our family. The hotel is located in a beautiful area of the south lakes very near to Windermere, but unfortunately the afternoon tea did not match the location. The sandwiches and cakes were not of a standard you would normally associate with a quality hotel.

Lovely afternoon treat at Storrs Hall, with a trip advisor voucher we had afternoon tea at the refurbished hotel. Its about two years since we last visited the hotel, and although it was a beautiful old hotel then it was in need of a touch of love in parts, well it has been given that and the place looked really... Booked 1 night stay, Waitrose offer! Really could not believe why we had never come across or heard of this hotel before having been to the area so many times. (normally stay at The Old England) Staff were very helpful and made to feel very welcome, the room we had No.35 was fantastic, really beautiful with the lake view. We... More

We have stayed at a number of hotels in and around Windermere and this one is one of the best. Situated at the residential side of the lake attractions are not close by, however we only went for a fine dining experience and were not disappointed. Afternoon tea was served in the conservatory and with a glass of champagne was... More

When we arrived the lady on reception was very helpful, booked us in for afternoon tea at last minute, which was lovely! had a junior suite which was amazing. Loved the coffee machine. Had everything we wanted and more. Only downside we hadn't booked a windermere view, but compensated by having all our meals in the conservatory with the beautiful... More

My husband and I stayed here over the weekend to celebrate my Husbands Birthday. The hotel is in an excellent location with amazing views of the lake. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was very nice. The room that we stayed in (Junior Suite) was very nice. The only thing I would say is the bathroom... More

The outside of Storrs Hall is impressive but it sort of lets itself down there after. Afternoon tea is limited to 25 servings apparently? and rustling up a sandwich thereafter was not possible. We called in with friends who were on a nostalgia trip, and ordered a bottle of champagne. The £75.00 bottle eventually arrived warm, not really acceptable. Storrs... More

The team and I were saddened to hear that you felt your experience was 'poor on every level' and personally more so that you felt the need to post straight onto this review site without attempting to contact the hotel to discuss your concerns. As you can see by reading through our many other very complimentary reviews, your 'expressed' experience... More
