So there is one good point, not all bad. Great location for centre of town. But that's about it I'm afraid. 1. Booking in time 4 o'clock. No good if you want to do anything else that day 2. The room The Fairfield looked old and needs a update looks like 1970 all over again. 3. The shower box was... More

I have family living in Bowness so I have booked in at Blenheim Lodge before usually for one night, the owners Rob & Janz are always friendly and happy to see me, taking an interest in my short stay, the lodge is only a 4 min walk to the town centre, which is ideal for me to meet my son... More

Hi Many thanks for your fabulous review. We love welcoming returning guests! It was nice having you back with us to stay again and finding out how you and your family were doing. It's like having our B&B family back to visit! We are always pleased when guests enjoy their stay and all that accompanies their stay at our Lodge... More

We booked to stay for a quiet midweek one night stopover in Bowness. The welcome was second to none and the hospitality continued throughout our stay. As a few people have said, Janz approach makes you feel like you've gone to visit a good family friend rather than a business. There are a number of rooms and at no point... More

Firstly have to say Janz was very understanding when I made an error on my booking and she was very generous in rectifying my mistake, where some owners may not have been so inclined. For that, I thank her. Janz and her husband were warm and welcoming, gave great advice on local restaurants as well as walks both near the... More

We would happily stay here again. On arrival we were greeted by Janz, a lovely friendly lady who made us very welcome. We chatted over coffee whilst admiring the amazing view. We stayed in 'The Coniston' room, which has a beautiful snuggly four poster bed and more incredible views of Windermere. The rooms and en-suites may not be huge, but... More

Blenheim Lodge is extremely comfortable and the breakfasts are very good. We had choice of two rooms, both decorated to a high standard with lovely furnishings, and we selected one with a lake view. The bathroom was very clean, with a large shower, and the bed was very comfortable with a down duvet. There was an extremely comfortable guest sitting... More

Janz made our stay absolutely perfect. We had a nightmare of a journey there making us delayed and she was so welcoming on our late arrival making us feel at home immediately. We stayed in the attic room which was cosy and homely yet sophisticated in style with the most breathtaking view. Breakfast was delicious and Janz recommended a fantastic... More

We chose to stay here for our Honeymoon, and picked Blenheim lodge because of the promised quiet, beautiful views, and close accessibility to some of the Lake Districts best highlights. It's safe to say Blenheim Lodge delivered on these things and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment! Upon arrival we were greeted warmly, and were offered a free upgrade (knowing that... More

I stayed here for three nights with my family and friends during August. We were a large group, more than ten people. Everyone chose his favorite room and enjoyed the stay here. The location of the hotel was great. The views from the room are mostly very good. The facilities were not new, nor luxury, but things were clean and... More

Hi Jennifer Many thanks for your review. We are really thrilled you all had chosen your favourite rooms and enjoyed your stay with us. Blenheim Lodge used to be a holiday retreat for a Victorian family and we have endeavoured to retain the character of this 1868 house with the use of many pieces of antique and period furniture for... I had a lovely stay at Blenheim Lodge. Janz and Robert were so very welcoming! It was my first visit to the Lake District and it was perfect. The room was cozy and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was the best I have had at any B&B in England. The sausage was especially tasty! I felt completely at home. I cannot... More
