A warm welcome awaited us! I had a single room with an ensuite in the eaves and it had beautiful views of the Lake. The bed was comfy and I had a great night's sleep. There was a wide range of traditional breakfast choices on offer. The team at Blenheim lodge provided an excellent service - thank you for a... More

Booked last minute to stay here for three nights, lovely welcome by the owner, shown to our very sweet room and left to get ourselves settled, a few minutes later we were offered complimentary tea in the lounge with beautiful views over Windermere. Our room was a standard double which we knew before booking so no complaints re the size... More

Lovely B&B with friendly, welcoming hosts! We were in room 2, Claife Heights. We were only there for one night but were very happy with the room. It was bright and clean and very cute with the little 'love seat' in the window. The views from the room were amazing of the lake and down the hill. It had its... More

I was here one night on my way from Scotland to Cornwall. The Lodge is uphill, on a narrow road typical of this village on lake Windermere. This position of the house, although perhaps too uphill for some, is what allows for the beautiful view to be had from the rooms. Well, at least mine. One of a few places... More

We recently stayed here for a two night weekend break and weren't disappointed. We arrived quite a bit earlier that we had arranged but this was no problem for the hosts who managed to let us into our room as soon as we got there. Our room had a lovely four poster bed and amazing views from the bay window.... More

I hesitated when booking the Blenheim Lodge for a couple of nights at a B&B in the Lakes as it did not offer the usual information on the owners - important to me, but because I had left it late, my choices were limited. Also, photographs were very limited - another sign perhaps? Getting there was not difficult but those... More

Amazing hospitality which included a late planned check-in, a rescue dinner as all restuarant kitchens were closed-of which all options were nevertheless explored with the help of the very nimble host-esp as my legs were jelly after my langdale hike, late breakfast with extras, late check-out. The rooms and communal areas are very elegantly decorated and exceptional neat and clean... More

We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. The hosts couldn't do enough to help us to enjoy our stay and my elderly mother loved the fuss and extra attention! They went out of their way to make us comfortable and we felt very relaxed. The rooms were warm and cosy with breath-taking views due to... More

Hi Gill Thank you for your wonderful review. It was lovely meeting you and your mum and it was really nice to see you both look so settled and at home at the Lodge. It felt like we had known you forever instead of the couple of days you were here and we are really looking forward to having you... More

We made a mistake with this booking ,we didn't realise it was at the top of heart attack hill as the taxi driver called it. Plus our room number 2 was very small a bit claustrophobic for me ,no where comfy to sit. Bathroom ,well had bigger wardrobes ,you couldn't use the sink only with door open. But the views... More

Couldn't have asked for better hosts - the welcome on arrival was first class. Our room was small (as advertised) but very comfortable and the view from the window could not have been better. Rooms were well priced for the location and we really enjoyed breakfast before setting off to explore the area.
