Just returned form a weekend at Dome Boutique B&B. Having watched the episode on Grand Designs, we we're excited to visit. We received a warm welcome from Robert and were upgraded to the Green Room on arrival which was a nice surprise. Rooms are very clean and the decor is very high spec and design led, no expense spared. There... More

Fabulous 5 star b&b. We were very lucky to get upgraded to the green room which is simply stunning, spacious and comfortable! The suites are done to a very high standard with no expense spared. The breakfast hamper is such a fantastic idea and it was full of delicious items to enjoy at your leisure. Think it's a shame hampers... More

We took advantage of the three nights for the price of two which did mean that the break worked out as cost effective. The building is much larger than it is shown on TV, and therefore when looking from the drive its quite imposing but over time looks to have blended into the scenery, i like how the grass roof... First the positives the view over the lake was impressive and the room was good. But the view that was not good was of the car park and front of the house which is basically a dump for an old boat, caravan, trailer, air con unit and other bits. I can't understand why someone would care so little about their... More

We have just returned from the privilege of sharing the wonderful home of Mila and Robert, to celebrate my birthday and our wedding anniversary. Although having holidayed in the Lakes many times before staying in Dome house has been the ultimate treat, and one we won't forget in a hurry. The peace tranquility, hospitality and beautiful views were amazing, we... More

A very untidy forecourt almost junk yard in appearance greeted us, if we had not paid a large deposit we would have left immediately! The house although impressive looked in parts run down and in need of some TLC. Although friendly, our welcome was rather haphazard and in parts unprofessional. Our room, The Rose Suite was fairly basic and in... More

Thank you for your review which is always good to receive feedback, yes the boat and caravan....! the boat was a 100 year old antique and the caravan a 1960's little bubble, I am afraid to say I got a little over excited on 'ebay' and bought these things, needless to say as we live at the property I had... My best friend organised a two night stay in this wonderful house to celebrate 33 years of our friendship. She had seen it on the TV programme, Grand Designs, and had liked the look of it. We weren't disappointed. The view is the main event. It's fantastic, looking straight across the lake from the Dome House's setting just above the... More
