Again, cannot fault this hotel - Only stayed one night Jan 2012 but the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovely and the standard of food is excellent, canapes served in front of a roaring fire in the very comfortable lounge, the dinner is superb with excellent service. We will be back! Come here to be looked after - friendly competent staff, very comfortable rooms with lovely touches - turned down beds, chocs on pillow, fresh towels at night, and the food is of the best, after a cosy drink in the bar/lounge with canapes to start with, in front of a cheering fire - and the views are glorious. Review a bit late but we have been away! We stayed in early December for the second time and were given a lake-view room. Everything was perfect. The food, location and furnishings are wonderful and the staff cannot do enough to make your stay a memorable one. Thank you once again - we'll be back!!! More

Being huge Beatrix potter fans, we chose Lindeth Howe because of the BP connection...she used to own it and wrote Timmy tiptoes there. Easy to get to Hilltop from here, too (ferry/bus).
