Just returned from four nights staying in two rooms with my two teenage sons and we had a wonderful and relaxing holiday that is hard to fault. The views of Lake Windermere, especially from our top floor rooms, were spectacular and almost worth the price of admission alone. Everything was spotlessley clean, neat and elegant and the staff's attention to... more

Spent 3 nights in the hotel. Lovely log fires and a very warm and friendly welcome from all the staff. Comfortable and spacious bedroom with a modern en-suite. Lots of information on local attractions and events. The perfect country house hotel and one of the most welcoming we've stayed at in 40 years of visiting the Lake District.. Highly recommended.... more

We stayed for one night at Lindeth Fell Country House Hotel in February and have to say it was fantastic. The oak panelled reception room is very impressive on arrival as are the stairs up to the rooms. Our room was very clean with a view over the hotel grounds and Lake Windermere. The staff were very accomodating and friendly.... more

Have just returned from a two night stay at Lindeth Fell Country House Hotel. The Country House was absolutely fabulous with beautiful furnishings throughout. The rooms were excellent and spotlessly clean, and the one we stayed in had a lovely view over Lake Windermere. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. It was the little things... more

What is perfection? A visit to Lindeth Fell is as close as I can make it. Whether it was the welcome from Linda who remembered to put the gin in the G&Ts this time, or the graciousness of all the staff who seemed to find it easy to give old fashioned service, or the gleam from the brass stair rods,... more

We stayed at The Lindeth Fell just over 2 weeks ago, and on the whole I would have to say that I really liked the hotel and really enjoyed our two night stay. The hotel was immaculately clean, the service was fantastic and the young staff really personable, however the whole trip was spoilt by overhearingthe lady manageress rebuking the... more

Just got back from 2 night stay and just wish we could have stayed longer. This was an extravagant trip for us but we decided to treat ourselves to a little luxury and we were not disappointed. Compared to other similiar hotels in the area the rates were very reasonable. This is truely a country house hotel and we felt... more

The warm and friendly greeting was maintained throughout our 3 day stay in October 2006. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Room was a good size and spotlessly clean. The absolute star of our stay was the food. 5 course meals with good choice and every course that we had was excellent, as was the service. Wine was... more
