My husband and I revisited The Ryebeck to celebrate our wedding anniversary, as we did last year. We were so impressed, during our previous experience, that we were a little concerned it wouldn't be repeated. We had no need to worry as the high standards were exactly as we had remembered. The hotel is in a lovely, peaceful location, within... More

We booked a one night stay through a deal site at a good price. The hotel was in beautiful surroundings and with immaculate grounds.Inside it is a mixture of traditional and modern which blends well. Our room was immaculate and welcoming with a great bathroom and endless hot water.A comfortable bed and breakfast served until 9.45.We enjoyed our stay and will go... From walking into reception and being greeted by staff with genuine smiles, to leaving the hotel the following day nothing was too much trouble. We were taken to our room by a member off staff who explained what we needed to know about the hotel. The cream tea taken in the lounge overlooking the lake was well just fantastic. Dinner... More

Nothing to fault in truth. Great welcome which included our afternoon tea which could be taken at anytime. Had booked our dinner at 1900. The food was absolutely delightful. Breakfast was also very nice indeed. Included a small buffet of pastries, etc which I also had Egg Benedict, also very very good. Only stayed the one night and would throughly... More

We had a special voucher deal - so got an incredible amount of perks for a one night stay. We paid £139 got a double room (free upgrade to cosy double), a cream tea/glass of prosecco on arrival. A four course dinner and breakfast. Room was spacious with good amenities/beverage/snacks/toiletries. Staff polite and helpful for venturing out advice. Food was... More

This was the 5th time we have stayed at the Rybeck hotel. Staying on the 24th and 25th August 2015. The hotel and food were very good however, don't pay the £5:00 supplement for the beef fillet, as the portion comprised of two slices 40 mm X 30 mm x 4mm thick, (1.5 inches X 1.25 inches X 0.08 inches... Stayed for one night in room 20 which looks like has just been returned as everything was brand spanking new. Lovely room, comfy bed, gorgeous bathroom. Lovely little touches like home made shortbread and brownies in room. Cream scones and prosecco on arrival was perfect and a lovely touch. Now the evening meal.... What can I say, it was the... My wife and I stayed here Sat 22nd August 2015 and were allocated the poorly reviewed, room 5. It was small and the view from the window was poor. It is next to the kitchen back door so staff were popping in and out. There were two single beds pushed together and one was lower than the other. It was... More

Quality hotel with amazing restaurant. The food was out of this world small portions of artistically prepared food and very satisfying, the venison I had just melted in my mouth. There is also a beautiful garden and bar. The location is perfect for activities you would typically do in The Lake District, we did Scafell Pike which is about an... More
