This hotel has a beautiful setting. Lovely views of the Lake and a lovely garden to relax in. The food is very good. The rooms are small but well decorated and clean. Overall a very good experience and would certainly return again.

We stayed here for two nights on our way home. Room was pleasant, newly refurbished but rather soulless. Our room overlooked the garden and Lake Windermere (couldn't see much of the lake because of the trees). The room was large with plenty of wardrobe space but could have done with some shelf/drawer space. The food was delicious, service OK. Hotel... More

Just returned from a 2 night break at The Ryebeck Hotel. Having previouosly visited Fayrer Gardens many times in the past we wanted to see what internal changes had been made, if any, now the Hotel has been renamed. The Dining Room has been redecorated and now has a marble floor. Our room, No. 8, was spacious, has a four... More

the fact that they "rarely" change the dinner menu made us glad we were only there two nights. Vegetarian option (there was only 1) didn't seem particularly appetizing so we had other options. Those were cold the first night, better the second night. Breakfast was typical English - don't order the porridge though. It was thick, cold and unappetizing. Renovations... More

We were on a "special offer" so when we were allocated one of the small attic rooms on the 2nd floor we did complain ( it did have a Garden View which we had upgraded to). It would be very unsuitable though for anyone unable to climb several flights. It was clean, fresh decorated and nicely furnished. The food was... More

14 of us descended from several corners of England for two nights over last weekend (6 / 7 Sept). Had not been before and would deffo go back. Was not after a room with a view, did not ask for one and did not get one. No worries! We were in 14, the others in 3, 5 and 20 and... More

Just spent 6 nights at the Ryebeck. Beautiful lounges and dining room, all overlooking the lake. The food was excellent. Quality towels and robes in the bedroom with homemade biscuits every day which after a walk was just perfect. We would definitely return.

Stayed here on two night Zoo break. We arrived and were greeted by very pleasant staff who showed us to our room 30. The room itself was an attic room which although did look out onto the garden was small and looked like their standard cosy room as shown on their website although we were assured when we booked that... Lovely hotel and very helpfull staff nothing was too much trouble. We had a standard room which was very adequate spotlessly clean, lovely en suite. Full English breakfast was well cooked and tasted lovely and plenty of it, a good selection of food on the menu. The only downside, it was a car ride down to the town centre and... More

We stayed at the Ryebeck for my birthday and had a great time. Upon arrival the room we booked wasn't correct but that was soon rectified and we were allocated room 8. This was a large superior bedroom with a four poster bed and a fantastic view over the Lake. Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant with the... More
