Visited The Rybeck in Windermere as an Easter treat 2014. We got a great deal for the whole of Easter weekend. All of the staff were so welcoming and it was really interesting to talk to other guests who return multiple times each year. Xmas is definitely on my bucket list ! We got a taster menu at dinner each... More

By far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel itself, staff, food and everything was excellent! Can not fault one bit! Anyone who as gave anything less than excellent must be those people who would complain if they won the lottory! Can not fault it one bit and I usually pick out bad in places. The hotel... More

We spent 3 nights at the Ryebeck as part of a short break in the Lakes, this was our second visit to this hotel. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that we had been given a free upgrade to a room which overlooked Lake Windermere. The hotel had made considerable improvements since our previous stay over a year ago.... More

i have previously visited this hotel under its previous name although the the ownership is the same. I had looked online at the very reasonable prices but decided to ring and the prices were even better on a deal in January. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the receptionist , our rooms were not quite ready so we were... More

We have just returned from a short break at the Ryebeck. From arriving at the hotel with a lovely warm welcome from Kate at Reception to the wonderful service , exceptional food and comfortable relaxing room and location - we are totally in agreement with many who have submitted their reviews before. We were told that Chef had recently joined... More

I booked the Ryebeck via a TravelZoo offer for myself and partner, and I must say we were NOT disappointed. We took our break at the beginning of December and the Ryebeck was decked out with the usual Yuletide decorations, but they were not over the top. Along with a very handsome Christmas tree, we were greeted by a very... More

This hotel surpassed all expectations for us. We booked this hotel via Secret Escapes and had a good deal by which our room rate of £130 included dinner and Breakfast. What made it for us was the lake view room (room 21) and the food. We are well traveled and have eaten in some lovely places but the food here... More

We went to the Lakes at the last minute on New Years Eve, lunch time, a spur of the moment decision to spend New Year away. We decided on the lakes but had nowhere to stay. We arrived in Windermere at 9.30pm, pulled over and booked the nicest hotel we could find with vacancies which was a challenge. We were... More

After being let down at another hotel we were welcomed by staff on New Years Eve for two nights. We had a superior room which was lovely , news years eve very good. New Year's Day after the boat trip late at night I started to be ill . Later in the day so did my husband with the same... More

We have just returned from a 1 night stay at The Ryebeck, having been to its sister hotel Hipping Hall, Kirkby Lonsdale (exquisite food) we looked forward to an evening of good food - we weren't disappointed, everything was cooked to an excellent standard, yes the portions are small, but the flavours pack such a punch I don't think I...
