The Ryebeck is one of those places that your opinion of it will vary based on your experience with hotels. For the casual guest, who doesn't travel much and seldom stays at nice hotels, this is probably a decent choice. For those who know and can appreciate a good hotel, the Ryebeck is nothing more than a glorified bed-and-breakfast inn.... More

Very reasonable overnight stay. Food and service very high standard. Great place to unwind even if just one night. Would return in a blink of an eye. Hopefully will get there again this year. Nice to be looked after by prof ss ional staff. Great job by all.

We decided to come and treat ourselves to an overnight break as our camping trip had been rained out. My husband and I had a fabulous time. The staff were accommodating and friendly without being stuffy and pretentious. I like how these small boutique hotels are moving away from the old style of being over formal as it makes myself... We were looking for a hotel in the Lake District to celebrate a special occasion, and hence wanted quality accommodation, which we were prepared to pay for. Judging from the advertising material, and the prices, the Ryebeck seemed to have a top of the range offering that would meet our requirements. Hence we went with high expectations, and have to... Nicely situated hotel, on the Bowness to Kendal road about two and a half miles out of town. This was the second time we have visited this hotel, following a nice break late last year 2014. The highlight of this establishment is the food, which is of a very high standard. The rooms are not luxurious but are more than... More

Rybeck Hotel. Bowness on Windemere. Lake District. 11.5.2015 – 13.5.2015. We booked this through Secret Escapes and stayed for two nights. Unfortunately our only full day in the Lakes was very wet and windy, and the proposed trip on Lake Windemere was off the agenda. We did walk up from the hotel to Blackwell House, an Arts and Crafts house... More

This hotel on the banks of Lake Windermere is in a stunning location. Our twin room was on the ground floor with double doors out on to the patio with a lovely garden between us and the lake. Staff were very friendly and both dinner and breakfast were very good. Spa facilities were available but we didn`t have time to... More

A friend of mine recommended this hotel to us as we go the lakes regularly and he promised that we would not go anywhere else after trying it. He was not wrong. We arrived early and left the car and went off walking. Took the wrong road back and missed afternoon tea by 5 minutes but the receptionist told us... More

The Hotel is a fabulous place for a short break and visiting the Lakes. The Chef is one of the best and the food is out of this world. Well worth a visit. There are plenty of offers but we would stay if there weren't any. Planning another visit real soon

Nice room with a patio area & views of the lake. Homemade cookies in the room & that bath house toiletries were a nice touch. Only gripe was it was 2 beds pushed together which I hate 😁. The food was amazing & actually really filling despite the small looking portions. Staff were very friendly & helpful. I would definitely... More
