This was a return visit to this hotel as the the last one was brilliant in every respect. Unfortunately this experience was far from satisfactory, The staff as previous were excellent and the rooms spotless, beds comfy and a warm welcome from reception. Since our last visit the chef has changed, the previous chef produced meals of excellent quality and... More

Lovely peaceful hotel overlooking lake Windermere. Comfortable sitting rooms and warm welcome. The tasting menu and its accompanying wines was delicious - a real treat. My only reservation was being expected to stay in our room until the appointed dinner hour which would have been fine if in a superior room but ours was small and had only 1 chair.... More

Booked overnight dinner, bed and breakfast break with secret escapes. From the second we arrived, we were made to feel welcome, all the staff are very attentive and professional. The room was a lake view, although not on the shore we were treated to a view of the hotel garden, Windermere and the fells beyond. The room was very well... More

My partner Tom treated me to Sunday lunch at Ryebeck today. The hotel has a luxurious feel and the staff treat you very well. the food choice was limited but fantastic. we would recommend the Salt Cod starter and the Roast beef dinner. Great location with views down to the lake. Only suggestion to hotel, to have more uplifting background... More

Just returned from a short visit to the hotel and area. Chose the hotel using Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. Location was just what we wanted, quiet with beautiful views (although you could walk into Bowness). We chose one of the superior rooms to ensure we got the view over Windermere. Upon arrival the reception staff were great with... More

I booked a nights stay en route to Scotland via booking.com for £116 which included a three course dinner and cooked breakfast. On arrival we were taken to our room which was cosy but clean and well stocked with tea, coffee and toiletries. It also had direct access to the garden as it was on the ground floor. Dinner was... Stayed overnight with friends on DBB basis and really cannot fault this hotel. Wonderful location and building, decorated to a high standard with a tasteful mix of traditional and contemporary styles. Superb service from the moment we arrived by every member of staff. We had the tasting menu with wine, go for it, very accomplished food at a very reasonable... More

We recently had a one night stay as a couple, a child free weekend to celebrate a birthday. We wanted something quiet, intimate and relaxing with great food and the Ryebeck is all of this and more. The hotel itself is a beautiful lakeland house, situated in lovely gardens and overlooking lake Windermere. The lounge is full of lovely furniture... More

Stayed here on Friday 13th March for one night on a DBB basis. From arriving and driving into the grounds you could tell this hotel is special. We were greeted by a lovely young lady who advised us on the hotel and dinner times etc, and then showed us to our room which had a lovely view of the garden... More

We stayed here last weekend for one night on the dinner bed and breakfast offer to celebrate a family birthday. We had a lake view room (number 10), which although fairly compact, was perfectly fine for the two of us. The bed was comfy, we loved the home made biscuits and the bathroom was quite spacious with an excellent Jacuzzi... More
