The process of booking a hotel and being satisfied with the outcome is becoming increasingly less predictable. It is understandable that a Hotel will portray itself in the most complimentary way, but there is a danger that lack of objectivity when describing its benefits and amenities to showcase itself to maximum benefit could result in customers being disappointed. If Hotels... More

We have just returned home from a nights stay DBB at this lovely hotel. We took advantage of a travel zoo offer, so did not expect much from the room. It was room 30 right at the very top. Although it was very hot , weather so hot, it was comfortable . You could see that it had been refurbished,... More

We stayed for 2 days on a Travelzoo offer with dinner included both nights. The setting of the grounds and the gardens themselves are lovely and the warm weather afforded the opportunity for sitting outside before and after dinner - the integration of this into your meal is good and they both come to get you once your order is... This hotel, which looks very nice, offered deals on Travelzoo. I wanted to take advantage of a 2 night Dinner, bed and breakfast deal so bought the Travelzoo voucher, checked the hotel website and a few dates were available in August. I selected 3 and 4 August and rang the hotel about 12noon.Rang out for just over 10 minutes then... More

Just returned yesterday from a two day break in cumbria, staying at the Ryebeck hotel. I am just recently bereaved in the loss of my Dad, and I wanted a few days away, to adjust. I booked the Ryebeck for my Husband and I, through travel zoo and upgraded to a lake view room, with dinner on both evenings. It... More

Took advantage of DBB offer on a Sunday night-1/2 bottle champagne waiting in room on arrival. Pleasantly sited within easy walking distance of Bowness-either down the hill and along the lakeside walk or on the main road. Large, landscaped gardens overlooking the Lake with big terrace and plenty of seating-perfect for a late afternoon glass of champagne! Very well kept... More

Lovely luxury hotel with a superb restaurant and an inspired and brilliant chef. The hotel is perfect and the restaurant is as good as any high end London restaurant run by any of the "celebrity" chefs.

Nice property well refurbished to retain the traditional British charm. The staff lives upto the role. Mesmerizing views and nice expanse. Ample car parking space. The rooms are elegantly furnished to retain the heritage character. A wonderful place for those seeking a relaxing break while being close to the lakes. Our second stay since it's name changed from the Fayrer Garden. The gardens are perfect for a peaceful stroll with plenty of sitting out areas. While rooms are not the biggest we've encountered ours was tastefully decorated, clean with a good shower-only bathroom, a lake view, and the expected range of tea making/toiletries etc. The staff know what is required...
