Stayed here in the summer and couldn't wait for a revisit, especially for the wonderful food so we booked a pre-Christmas treat when a DBB offer was emailed direct. The outside conditions weren't kind - December's 'weather bomb' - but we tucked up in the hotel and had a lovely break anyway. We'd booked a garden room but were upgraded... More

We stayed with our dog in an annex. The room was adequate but the area of the annex could have been tidier it was great to have a bottle of champagne on arrival but the room was cold as the heating wasn't working but this got resolved. The rooms in the main building were of a much higher standard and... More

We booked this hotel as part of a deal and we weren't disappointed! The hotel is situated in a beautiful position and is very tastefully done. As part of our deal, a 3 course meal was included which was absolutely beautiful. The food was very fancy and beautifully presented and very enjoyable! Breakfast the next day was equally lovely. It's... More

We stayed here on the two night tasty deal which we found to be excellent value and thanks to a cancellation we upgraded for £10 extra a night, what a bargain! Upgraded from standard to lake view and although you don't see much of the lake it was still a lovely view and the whirlpool bath was a bonus. I... More

Just spent one night at the Ryebeck, a return visit and standards are still as high. Attentive staff and a relaxed ambience help to you make you feel welcome. The hotel is well known for fine dining with an imaginative menu, very well presented. Our room was spotless with very comfortable beds and good selection of tea/coffee/biscuits.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had to swop rooms after the first night as we wanted a room in the annex for our dogs and it was already booked for night 1. No problem, the dogs stayed in the car for the first night and we had a very nice room... More

We have been several times when this was Fayrer Gardens and once as the Ryebeck so having read recent reviews it was with some trepidation that we sat down for dinner. Delighted to report the service was excellent and the food delicious.

We visited the Ryebeck recently and were able to upgrade to a superior lake view room for only a modest charge and it was worth it for the large room and spacious bathroom. The homemade biscuits were very nice although I was a bit surprised that even the top graded rooms didn't include any water. The location is a bit... More

We booked a one night break at this hotel through Secret Escapes at a charge of £130 for four course dinner, bed and breakfast. We loved it so much that we stayed for a second night, although that proved to be not nearly as cheap at £180 for the second night which was apparently because it was a Friday and... More

we revisited this hotel one week ago after not staying there for several years, how disapointing it was, The wonderful food was replaced by a menu with little choice, small portions and the desserts had no 'wow' factor at all. If you like berries then you are okay as they seemed to be in everything. I could not eat one... More
