Just back from two lovely days at May Cottage, a must for people to visit. Great hosts Sue and Len Casey. Breakfast supberb, ideally positioned for a great little break. Grasmere one of our favourite places, just sit and relax with a latte and chill. we will be back!

May Cottage was perfectly located, only being a short walk to the great restaurants and attractions. Located only a short drive from fabulous walks, and the occupiers (Sue and Len) had a great deal of knowledge regarding local amenities. A warm drink upon arrival and a friendly face really got our break onto the right track. The room was clean... More

Lovely BnB Breakfast cooked by Len was lovely and simple and hosted with loads of banter from Jane Owners were great. Jane offered about 45mins of her time explaining what to do and where to go which helped a lot in planning our days there We forgot toiletries and she went out her way to provide us with some Room... Enjoyed every one of our 5 days in the Lakes District. Stayed at May Cottage in Bowness and even the weather couldn't spoil our fun. Sue and Len were wonderful hosts. Our room had a view of the lake, was always warm and clean and the full English breakfasts were just perfect. It's in a great spot, just a short... More

Lovely B&B - Sue and Len were both very nice and so helpful with everything. I was slightly disappointed we couldn't go to the leisure facilities due to renovations. Room 2 was really nice and the shower was great - the only small downside was that the beds could be a bit comfier.

We arrived late on the off chance we could get a room, and thankfully there was! Our room was lovely, spotlessly clean with an extra large bed that I lost my partner in :D Breakfast was perfect and the owners couldn't help us enough giving us recommendations on where to go for dinner. Can't wait to come back x

A wonderful short break in the Lakes. Len and Sue could not have been more accommodating, friendly and welcoming with a breakfast to die for! Just the job to kickstart a day out in the hills!! Looking forward to our next visit and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

We use May Cottage as our base for our hill walking. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable and Sue and Len go out of their way to make the stay pleasant. Len does a mean cooked breakfast!

What a wonderful way to relax between Christmas & New Year. Clean, fresh & comfortable in a friendly atmosphere. Len and Sue were brilliant hosts - always at the ready to help without being in your face. Loads of helpful suggestions on where to visit and best foody places. Always good to know where the locals eat! In fact we... More

We stayed here for two nights between christmas and new year. The room was lovely and spacious and very clean. We loved the power shower . The mattress and pillows were a little too firm for us but that was personal taste. Sue and Len were attentive though we found Sue a little overbearing and regimented. Breakfast was OK but... More
