Spent 3 nights in November at this lovely B&B. Made very welcome. Paid for superior room but was upgraded to another room with jacuzzi bath and coloured lights, which was a lovely surprise. The breakfast was superb with so much choice and beautifully cooked. It was a 2 min walk down the hill to the centre, with many food establishments.... More

The guesthouse is beautifully decorated throughout and feels like home. We drove 300 miles and as soon as we arrived we knew it was worth it. Thank you for a great stay and fantastic service. Katja & Otoniel.

My wife & I (both seniors) are spending the last of our 3 nights at Fairfield House. The owners, Tony & his wife, are very welcoming & helpful. Rooms are spacious, well laid out & spotlessly clean. The included breakfast is fresh, tasty & served by very pleasant staff. Only a short walk to Bowness village & the ferry terminal... More

Fieldfield Guest House was in a very good location. A small but steep walk back from the village. Our spa room on the 1st floor was very small. Not enough room for 2 suitcases. The spa ensuite was large. Would much prefer if the bedroom had a lot less furniture (remove the tiny table & 2 chairs which were useless... More

This Beautiful, surprisingly big B&B was a perfect get away for my partner and I to celebrate our anniversary. After a 6 hour drive we were delightfully surprised when we reached the b&b and were greeted by the hosts; who were friendly polite and very efficient! After waking up to a fabulous breakfast with very welcoming staff we went for... More

On the plus side: The room I had was beautifully appointed, very spacious and well equipped. En-suite bathroom with large bath and separate shower. Breakfast was, again, very well presented with an excellent choice The hospitality of the owner was excellent and the few members of his team that I met were polite, friendly and very efficient. Good on site... More

Thanks so much for the nice comments, we appreciate your taking the time. We will look at the shower in that room and see what can be done. The wifi speed I am afraid is out of our hands and is the same for everyone in the town. we are a rural location and until we get hooked up to... More

On our way to Scotland we decided on a stopover in the Lakes. We booked the Fairfield online just the day before. On arrival we were greeted by the owners and Tony asked if we may like to upgrade to a room with a four poster and a bath for an extra £10 which we did. The room was pleasant... More

Just come home from Fairfield after spending 3 nights there. The friendliness of the owners is second to none. The room we had was spacious and very light and the breakfasts are top notch Tony certainly puts a mean plateful out everything cooked to perfection-especially the fried eggs. We thought we,d struggle with the steep hill but a helpful tip... More
