We have just spent a couple of nights in Bowness, Windermere and were made very welcome at the Fairfield. The guest house is reasonably priced, comfortable, some rooms and better than others, relaxing and the breakfasts were very good.

Lovely older home converted into suites. Tony was great in greeting and showing us around. The room was lovely, nicely decorated with all kinds of 'extras'. Nice furnishings. Wonderful baths. Wifi was spotty. Best in the common areas. Very nice breakfast.

Location of where we stayed was ideal as it was within walking distance of the harbour & lake. Owners were very friendly and the house had a beautiful garden. The room where we stayed was a bit small on the ground floor overlooking the garden & few guests did pass by the window so not too private. Recommend this place... More

We've just returned from our first Lakes trip & can't believe it's taken us 53 years to discover them!! We decided on Sunday evening to journey from our home in the New Forest to have a spontaneous 'stay cation' in another National Park..... We conducted our research via Trip Advisor & the Lake District website...... The Fairfield appeared to tick... More

recently we went to lake district to enjoy our graduate vacation and we stayed in Fairfield for three nights. it is literally the best place in Windermere. Fairfield is really close to brownness city town, and you can go to lake side in 10 minutes, but also fairfield is not in the central of city, so it would be really... More

We had a wonderful family vacation and the most comfortable stay in our entire trip of 15 days. The Guest House is too good with very comfortable beds, excellent bathroom, wonderful garden, exotic breakfast, close vicinity to the lake, centrally located and to top it all hospitality par excellence. The people here are so very good and went all the... More

Nice warm reception from Liz when checking in, she then showed us to the penthouse room which was fabulous with good views, a spa bath, large shower and a small fridge which was handy to have. The breakfasts were very good, good choice and very... More

We spent 4 days living in Fairfield Guest House. The sightseeing around the hotel is fabulus. The most impressive thing is the garden in the backyard of the house. There are many extremely beautiful flowers with bright colours. The sturdy trees have shown the long history of the hotel. Enjoying the afternoon tea while breathing the fresh air in the... More

We are a young couple (20+22) who decided to take a trip to The Lakes just last weekend. We saw the reviews of Fairfield on Tripadvisor and decided we would try this place out - it did not disappoint! The property itself is beautiful. Situated less then 5 minutes walk into Bowness, a nice lake view at the top of... More
