I recently had misfortune and embarrassment of checking in close relatives on their arrival from Canada. We arrived at the hotel to check in at 13.50 to what appeared to be an unattended reception desk, however as we approached the desk a quite friendly head popped up from an extremely low seat and enquired if we were for check in.... Great hotel the rooms are nice and the staff are to. The breakfast included is a nice buffet I loved it. The room had your basics included coffee and tea. Would definetly return just for the breakfast it was amazing. The hotel is quiet with a pub near by and a shop and petrol station. The pub is a two... More

It's nit Great, and I don't think it's national either. This one used to be a Ramada but now it's basically undermanaged by a young ernest group of people who do their brst, but are largely untrained in how to run a hotel. It's not Fawlty Towers, because there is no Basil Fawlty, nor a Sybil to make things right... More

I don't usually write reviews about hotels as I am not normally too fussy/overly bothered etc, but whilst I am currently awake at 3am laying in what can loosely described as a hotel room, listening to constant noise from the people walking past the room through the cardboard walls (the 'HERE I AGAIN ON MY OWN' rendition was especially poor),... Can't see what people moan at. The staff were friendly the room cool comfy and spacious. Lovely bathroom. Delicious breakfast. Will visit again Confusion over my booking ( 2 visitors with same name !) was quickly sorted out. Bit of a rabbit warren to get to room ,up and down lots of stairs and corridors. Maybe not for those with... More

I wasn't expecting the best for the price but was pleasantly surprised. Only paid £44 for an August stay but worth the money. Very functional. Comfortable bed ,pillows, plenty of wardrobe space .Leather headboard a little worn. Bathroom a little dated & shower curtain a little orange but shower itself - excellent. Great fluffy towels. Reception looks great & also... More

This is a basic but clean hotel and good value for money. It's clearly a hotel that has seen better days. The ground floor is in good order but the bedrooms are a bit shabby. However it was significantly cheaper than Travelodge and the breakfast was included.

Visited this Hotel for 1 night at the end of July for the night of our wedding. There were quite a few of us staying in the hotel, most of us for 1 night and some for longer. Admittedly this isn't going to be the best hotel you have ever stayed in but we chose it because of the price... More
