Stayed two nights on business Staff were excellent very attentive and concerned when I commented that I was coming down with a cold Offered iced water and asprin if needed. New beds are very comfy and rooms clean and tidy Had a fifth floor room so could see the hills beyond. Ate in the café food ok if pubby. A... More

Stayed three nights in a family room, the double bed was comfy enough, however the 'pull-out' mattresses were un-comfy, lumpy and my children struggled to sleep on them, a more traditional sofa bed would have been a better option. That said though, the rooms were clean and tidy, if a bit basic, but at the price I paid, I have... More

Check in was basic , nothing to go really wrong, however breakfast was booked online as a full english breakfast, upon arrival at reception for breakfast at 0650hrs, no staff and no cooked breakfast, greeted with abruptness when staff finally presented themselves, no juice available the quality of the microwaved pre-packed breakfast was the pits.

Had a great two nights stay at Travel Lodge Newcastle under Lyme. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Great that we could bring our little dog with us. Breakfast was good , but could have had more choice. Great stay.

I've stayed here a few times but this time after being spruced up the hotel is much better. New beds, pillows and proper curtains instead if blinds are a big improvement. 2 downsides are very expensive wi-fi and poor selection on the TV with 2 radio channels not working. Full free view would be better. Breakfast is adequate.

Checked in here on Saturday 8th March 2014. The place is smart, clean & tidy. Staff were helpful and the check in experience was good. I was impressed with the level of security within the building. The swipe card ensure that you can't go on to other floors and no unauthorised person can enter on to your floor. This also... More

Very good hotel considering the low price. Minimalist approach to foyer, rooms etc, but everywhere spotlessly clean and a very comfortable night's sleep with the plumpest pillows ever! Shower powerful & hot but bring your own toiletries. Might be some road noise issues if you need the window open in summer (no a/c). Self-service breakfast provided a pleasing selection and... More

I stayed here for three nights, the room was newly refurbished, the bed comfortable and everything spotlessly clean. The rooms are small but it has a tv, a chair and a small desk come dressing table. Somewhere to hang clothes with a shelf above for other items. On the downside they don't provide anything other than a tiny bar of... More
