Good location and easy access in middle of town. Nothing glamorous or individual but usual good standards of comfort, cleanliness, efficiency and staff were friendly. Avoid room 102 if you hoping for a lie-in or a leisurely start. The hotel adjoins a supermarket and this room appeared to be directly above its warehouse. By 6.30am (weekends included) there is a... I have used this hotel for a few years now and I can say It has never been as bad as it is now, no staff around and very unpleasant a stay, 4 Nights without sleep, will not use again. Which is a shame.

Well located hotel for Newcastle town centre. Free parking in large Lidl car park was a bonus. Entrance area looked a bit grubby and reception is up a flight of stairs (or lift) on the first floor. Nice efficient welcome - they didn't have any keycard folders so had a slip of photocopied paper wrapped around my card which didn't... More

The comfort of the beds is the most noticeable improvement. The price could have been better and breakfast was expensive. Location perfect for the town. Bit noisy at nights with local entertainment til early hours.

No problem at all with the hotel, yes they are basic and cheap and cheerful but rooms were clean and staff friendly, however the major drawback is at the weekend there is a serious issue with noise from the pub across the road, we are not talking a bit of rowdy singing but heavy bass played extremely loudly till 2/3... We stayed here as part of a large group of all ages from the 6th to the 9th of August 2014. We had a really pleasant stay at such a cheap price, our rooms were cleaned daily and the staff was all lovely! Their pizzas after a night out was also top notch :-P. The hotel is also in a... More

Impromtu venue to save an additional journey fr work after impromptu weekend away. Modern Travelodge so rooms were good design - ideal for an evenings necessary work. Brand fitted for Travelodge. Good location for Stoke/newcastle as surprised wasn't a Travelodge on Festival park. Large main eating area was functional. Staff there were very friendly and helpful. Standard food menu but... More

The hotel was clean and pleasant. Good enough for crashing in for a night. The bed was very comfortable....and the wall...and the shower. The only possible issue I can imagine people would have is that the walls were paper thin. I don't envy our neighbours at all. We're really sorry if you got any complaints. It did cross my mind... Cannot complain at all for price that we paid. Booked this hotel for 2 days with my partner, son and sons friend as it was relatively close to Alton Towers. We were never really in the hotel itself but was value for money regardless as we would have paid almost double to stay in Alton Towers Resort hotel.

We arrived at the hotel following a hectic day at Alton Towers hoping to book in and chill out and were not disappointed. The hotel entrance was a little dusty but was just a lobby entrance. Reception on first floor was easily accessible by lift or stairs and the young man who greeted us on arrival (Luke, I think) was... More
