A friendly 'local' pub with good food, helpful staff, a nice restaurant and a great beer garden, something for everybody at sensible prices. Nice rooms at a very affordable rate. The Sunday lunch is to die for and very reasonable. Typical Yorkshire fare locally sourced and beautifully presented. Well worth a visit

Stayed at the Royal Oak for one night in August 2013 and was very impressed. We were given a very spacious room and the breakfast was absolutely excellent and set us up perfectly for a long day travelling. There is a free public car park opposite the The Royal Oak and we utilised this. Would definitely recommend.

We popped in to this pub for Sunday lunch after a weekend in Harrogate. Excellent meals served with friendliness and good humour by the staff. I would highly recommend the pub for grub and service. Close to A1 too, which makes it great for a quick getaway after a long weekend in North Yorkshire.

I stayed overnight one Sunday. This is a pub with a few (4?) rooms to rent. I selected it in preference to the conventional local hotels as it is within Wetherby itself. The room was fine, roomy, comfortable, well heated. The TV worked once I'd figured out the controls (persevere!) and tea/coffee making facilities were provided. The pub's bar was... More

My husband and I have just returned after staying one night at the royal oak and one night was enough. We arrived in Wetherby about 2.30pm and before looking around the town, we thought we would get settled into our room first. At the Royal Oak here was no friendly welcome just a "Come in, but I don't know if... More
