After reading many reviews of this hotel I was a little dubious about it , how wrong can so many people be ,food great ,rooms good for the price ,staff very friendly and helpful. We travelled with a mature couple ,and they enjoyed it as well. Hotel could do with a lick of paint here and there but it was... More

Awful, rude staff, unfriendly, no fans in room, boiling hot, cold water. Photos look nice, when we got there our jaws dropped, run down and just horrible. Breakfast was awful, not much choice. Getting ready for a wedding in peak summer with no fan or aircon was awful! What upset me the most was the attitude of the staff... Will... More

This hotel has the potential to be good. If.....the cleaners were changed to ones that knew how to clean. Toilet had brown stains in water, doors full of dirt and sticky stuff. At breakfast we saw waitress drop fork, pick it up and put it back in draw, which was filthy. She then picked up a cup, along with a... More

Lovely Breakfasts, also we had a couple of meals in the restaurant, which were excellent! Yes, the gardens could be made better use of, possibly more seating and tables set around them and a few... Just got back from a 1 night stay, £99 for a superior sea view room with breakfast. It's not a conventional hotel, but you would know this just by looking at the pictures. Be aware you will be staying in a converted chalet room. I picked this hotel as I love 1930's architecture. If you don't like this style of... More

Like several other dance groups who have recently had their holidays cancelled by the Riviera Hotel, I was notified by our Dance Organiser from Stagecoach Promotions that the holiday for members of our Line Dance club had been cancelled without notice or explanation. They have cancelled 5 or 6 bookings going through till next year for Stagecoach alone, and so... More

Looks pretty horrible from the outside but much better inside. The rooms are fine and clean with a fridge and nice bathroom. Wifi works well in the hotel and breakfast was great. Indoor pool warm but outside pool cold. No hot tubs.

Hi there. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. We are aware the outside of the building needs a bit of TLC, however we are a grade listed building so we need permission to do so. We are currently in the middle of freshening up the paintwork and working on... More
