Sorry Russell Hotel the negatives certainly outweighs the positives and I will start with the positive that unfortunately there were only one for the staff that was friendly otherwise everything went downhill from there. We travelled with the Majestic Coach Travel and I felt we were all treaded as second class citizens by the Russell Hotel, and also we were... More

Hotel located on sea front, and 10 minute walk to town centre and railway station. This hotel adjoins Daishes Prince Regent Hotel with internal corridor. The Hotel itself I rate overall as average, but could be good with updates to rooms.

An old fashioned hotel with inadequate lift and parking, but friendly staff and reasonable food and entertainment so it was quite good value for money. Hotel is situated on the seafront and is handy for the beach and the town. We stayed on the third floor which was a bit of a climb but gave great views over the bay.... More

Another very good holiday. One thing I would like them to sort out is the seating at dinner on the first night. It`s almost a free for all, surely it would not be difficult to use room numbers on the table plans, so ensuring if two couples are together then they would be seated together.

3rd floor room was tiny, only one window, hot as H*LL. Breakfast from 8:30 to 9:00, Dinner from 6:30 to 7:00. Staff were surly or not available. Entertainment was horrible. Tried to get ice for the room, so we didn't have to trek down 4 flight of stairs for a cold drink, was lucky to get enough to chill 2... More

A party of 30 stayed at the Russell for a long weekend. It is a typical coach party hotel that has had a long life. My wife and I had a 3rd floor room which had an ensuite bathroom with no shower. This was probably due to the lack of water pressure so high up.It took 15 mins.to run a... More

Overall a pleasant stay. Had a comfortable room with a sea view. Food was adequate, staff very friendly and evening entertainment was provided. The bar prices were reasonable in line with pub prices. It is a bit dated and could do with a make over.

We travelled 26 miles to join our friends on a Association Weekend organised by IOW Tours. They had travelled from West Wales. We paid extra to book a room with a seaview. We arrived at the same time as the coach party and it was nice to see our friends again. We parked in the small hotel car park (last... More

Went to he Russell hotel on a last minute break with Daishs coach holidays, we were advised on booking that the room was located at the rear of the hotel, so on arrival there were no expectations of any thing else, the room, on the ground floor, as requested, was clean, with a walk in shower, plenty of hot water,...
