4 day break at a bargain price, well done Daish's for taking over this Hotel. The décor is dated but the staff were friendly, the meals good and we really enjoyed our stay. We would be happy to go back at any time.

Disappointed in subterranean "restaurant", especially after staying at the neighbour hotel, the Prince Regent....FAR superior. Meals were rushed, mediocre, and shared with two large men on a very small table. We were required to choose evening meals 24 hrs ahead of time and even THAT did not ensure you got your choice! Other folk were on long tables, the hotel... More

We stayed for a 4 day weekend break and had a lovely time. Rooms were small (but we were in singles and it looked like the doubles were of a decent size when we glimpsed them) and comfortable but very very hot though, some of our party were given a fan but not others. Bathroom was a very good size... More

The Russell Hotel was just what the doctor ordered, peace and quiet. Although a little dated this was the perfect place for a relaxing weekend. The room we had was at the back but was clean and tidy though I would have liked a mini fridge as we are picnic people and had nowhere to keep our food. The meals... More

The Russell Hotel is very tired and needs updating. On the whole the 3 nights we were there weren't too bad despite the elephant who walked backwards and forwards hundreds of times in the room above us at unearthly times in the morning. The food was good and always hot and the waiting staff were excellent. The entertainment was good... More

We recently spent 3 nights at the Russell Hotel on a GB Tours Break, keeping in mind at all times that this is a 2 star hotel and not higher you can see that all that it offers as a 2 star is quite reasonable. The room we had was "tired" but the towels and bedding were spotless, food was... More
