Stayed here for one night recently whilst visiting family in the area. Stayed in a single room which was located on the ground floor, unfortunately this was situated on a corridor between two heavy doors which led to the rest of the hotel so I was frequently disturbed by people slamming the doors (very loudly). Room was nice but small,... More

Recently stayed at this hotel and wish I had gone somewhere else. The room was dated, staff were rude and the manager miserable. The bathroom was ok apart from the shower which was difficult to get into, luckily enough hubby and I are quite small but still had to enter sideways, a larger person would not be so lucky. Breakfast... More

We stayed two nights in the superior sea view room. It was on third floor so stairs could be an issue but this is clearly pointed out in the description plus it's a listed Georgian grade two property so no way round this. But well worth the climb. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable with very big bathroom with... More

The family run business were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Nice breakfast, but would have like to have some fruit offered. Very comfortable bed. Would recommend this B & B, and is great location for the sea front and surrounding area. My only negative was the shower in our room. It was difficult to control, either really... More

Our room was a superior double and was in the attic. We knew there would be a lot of stairs as the description said third floor. The furnishings in the room were lovely; and I was glad of the sofa, especially when we came in after being out in the baking heat all day. My partner said the cooked breakfast... More

Booked this hotel for short break 3rd to 10th June it was a pleasant surprise to be offered cup of tea on arrival the twin bedroom was big enough and fridge space was a nice touch. Breakfast was good and staff very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely return excellent value for a stay in a prime position on sea front

Strange reception on arrival, kept waiting at the desk a long time and asked for full payment up front - expect they didn't want us absconding. Room was clean and spacious. Good quality ingredients at breakfast, but no flexibility with what you can have on your breakfast plate, eg beans instead of mushrooms etc. The owners are very polite people.

I was looking forward to a weekend away but was disappointed. I had read reviews prior to booking but am not sure where others stayed as the reviews did not match my experience of The Channel Guest House, Weymouth. I had a sea view, the room was a good size but dated with the bare essentials, no frills. Wood chip... More
