Barbara and Graeme are a charming and very friendly couple who run their guest house to a very high standard - we will certainly stay there again when next visiting Weymouth. Excellent value for money

Lovely position for walking around Weymouth, right next to the esplanade, easy to walk into the town centre for food and drinks. Hosts most accommodating, really friendly and welcoming. Terrific breakfast cooked to order.

It was a privilege and a pleasure to stay at the Old Rectory. Barbara and Graeme are a lovely couple and their house offers the luxury of a boutique hotel with the charm and warmth of a family home. If I was forced to find complaint it would be that I could not watch the Six Nations Rugby on the... More

We spent last weekend with Graeme and Barbara. The house is two minutes from the seafront, which is a lovely 15 min walk into town. The house was spotless as was the room, the bathroom positively sparkled. Lovely sized room with balcony.we were welcomed with a pot of tea and cake, a nice touch.off road parking was also a bonus. Breakfast was... More

We chose The Old Rectory as we thought it would be a cut-above the standard bed and breakfast options and were not disappointed. We received a very warm welcome from Graeme and Barbara and their excellent hospitality continued throughout our stay. We chose the Dorchester Room and it was perfect. A generous sized room with a large bathroom and exceptionally... More

We had one night in the Dorchester at the old rectory and we have never stayed anywhere better. We were early arriving but Graeme let us leave our car so we took a walk into town - even walking slowly taking in the sea view only took us 15 minutes to reach the town. When checking in we were given... More

Positives: Great hosts. Barbara and Graeme were very friendly and helpful with plenty of useful recommendations about the area, pubs, restaurants etc. Beautiful house about 10 minutes walk from town, 2 minutes from the gorgeous beach. Off road parking was a bonus. Lovely decor throughout the house, spotlessly clean, and a very comfortable bed! It's also very quiet which was... More

Hi Lauren, You are completely correct in expecting to receive a somewhat prickly response to your review and naivety in not expecting us to take this personally as we strive to run our award winning Bed and Breakfast to the highest standard we possibly can and the reviews we have received stand testament to this and especially receiving a rare... The Old Rectory is a beautiful house in a great location. The Dorchester room was so comfortable. Excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful ambience but not intrusive. And it was really really clean which is absolutely paramount. I would recommend it at the drop of a hat. It was fantastic.

My partner and I stayed for two nights at the Old Rectory and it was perfect from beginning to end. We were greeted by two very classy hosts, Barbara and Graeme and served a home made cake recipe on arrival! The room was immaculate, beautifully decorated and very cosy. Located just off the beach, there are plenty of beautiful walks... More
