Bought a pint of Directors, it came out ice cold. This is done so it can be sold past it's best. When I complained that Directors should not be freezing, you guessed it, 'we've never had a complaint before', meaning I was the problem. As I didn't like the vinegar taste I asked for another non chilled beer of which... More

Excellent food, would highly recommend sea food. Just called in on Saturday night during Fish Festival Weekend and enjoyed fantastic Mussels, Sea bass and loin of Cod. Brilliant waiter service, very attentive. Restaurant in basement so a little dark but very pleasant. First time just called into a hotel just to eat but would highly recommend.

We have visited this pub many times and there seems to be no consistency we had Sunday lunch, roast potatoes were mushy and the veg was undercooked. Bar staff are very good but management should look at the food being served as people will not tolerate poor cooking this will be reflected in the takings.?

Had Sunday roast again. Food was meagrely. Veg underdone. One thin slice of pork - very fatty. Roast potatoes mushy inside - probably over microwaved or reheated. Not good value for money. Partner had large roast - £8.99; I had small £4.99. Only difference was small slice of meat extra and at least two spoons of veg extra. We have... More

This review I'm writing is about the new dorothy inn on the seafront. I have been here a few times now, and only until yesterday evening I noticed a new gentleman, jeans and smart shirt, working behind the bar who was incredibly friendly and engaged with us as soon as we came into the pub. He was very knowledgable on... More

Since our last visit, which was not very good, we decided to give it one more try. What a difference! We had the small roast dinner as usual and it was delicious. Everything was well cooked and tasty. The bar staff were efficient and attentive. We will be back.

Do not visit this pub, the food is awful, truly crap! They either don't know how to cook or simply can't be bothered to try properly. We were not made at all welcome when we walked in. It was obvious to the drinkers at the bar that we were trying to order food & drink but they would not move... More

My Husband and I were in Weymouth for 4 days and had seen some reviews on The Kings Arms and decided to book a table for Sunday lunch. We were expecting a traditional pub and it was, full of old charm, we were greeted by friendly bar staff who escorted us to our table, we didn't have long to wait... More

Good beer, reasonable food, next to the harbour but there are many similar establishments in Weymouth and this one does not stand out as anything special.Nothing else to say really just waffling now to use up the 200 characters insisted upon.

We have been to this pub many times and overall have been pleased. Last Sunday, 18 August we popped in for lunch. At £4.95 (small) or £8.95 (large) we didn't think the prices were bad. However, on this occasion, the pork was thin, tough, fatty and dry. The veg were watery and tasteless. To cap it all there was no... More
