This hotel lives in the 18th century and is a great worry for the 2012 Olympics as it can only put up its already high (and not value for money) prices for probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in the UK. It appears to have gone drastically downhill since better reviews of 2007. Are there any good... more

Myself and two colleagues were booked in here by our employer for a one night stay. We were booked into double sea rooms all with sea views (the good bit). The check-in girl was terse to say the least! and was more interested in talking to her boyfriend at the counter. My room was large enough, but it was very... more

We stayed here for one night over the easter weekend, arrived at 1pm, and was given the choice of two rooms, we decided to go for the sea view at £107. we were asked for payment straight away, when we asked if we could see the room, we were told it was not ready and that we would not be... more

The Prince Regent made a good base for both my wife's business meeting and my exploration of the surrounding areas. The room was enormous (it was a quad, though we didn't use two of the beds) and included two chairs and a desk. Wireless was easy and available. A full English breakfast was included though it didn't vary by day... more

Myself, husband and two young daughters have just returned from 2 nights at this hotel. Contrary to previous reviews, we found the reception staff very courteous, pleasant and helpful. Our room (no. 115) was huge, much larger than expected with two single beds and a massive king size. We had a lovely sea view. All furniture was kind of in... more

Its like retirement before your time. Walking into the hotel it took a good minute before I was acknowledged by the receptionist who was talking to a member of kitchen staff. I was given my card, but no details of the hotel services or breakfast times. The room was, nice comfortable, although a little dated. It was much larger than... more

We were a party of 3 staying at the Prince Regent. My Mum (60+ bit) Me (40+ bit more) and my daughter aged 9. We booked a family room which consisted of a very very large king size bed and a single. Much to my dismay we were allocted the dreaded room 108 previously slated by another guest. we were... more

Where do I start? Firstly there's the size of the beds - be prepared for a small double, slightly bigger than a standard single. Definitely not acceptable for two adults in a hotel of this price range. Mind you, the room was so small (high ceilings though) that there wasn't any room for anything bigger. Then the bathroom - bath... more

We stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding. Room was a very good size, just a shame they don't have air con, as it was quite warm when we were there. Breakfast was ok, but don't leave it till the last minute, as you will go hungry. They ran out of most things with about an hour to go.... more

My wife and I booked a couple of days at this hotel for a relaxing break. The reception staff can't be bothered it is as though you are a hinderence to them. (to be fair one of the older ones was very pleasant, she was the one sat on the back stairs leading from the car park smoking) The food... more
