Stopped for 5 days last week in July 14 the hosts Gary and Jan made us feel welcome. The rooms are clean and well presented. There was a large choice for breakfast which was really nice. I would recommend this B & B highly. The B & B position is just out of the centre but still excellently placed with... More

Gary & Jan couldn't have done more to make our stay comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble: we were met most days with a cup of tea brought up to our room after a day out, the breakfasts were perfect with so much choice, and the packed lunches lasted us all day! Everything was clean and fresh, The superking bed... More

Stayed here twice now and I must say that if you want to experience a proper guesthouse then this B & B is an excellent example. My first stay was a very late booking and Gary and Jan Daulton gave such a warm and friendly welcome. Food brill, room was everything you would expect. The second stay, same but we... More

Great b&b with lovely hosts and not too far away from the beach. Room was clean and modern with an amazing shower. Breakfast was great with lots of choice especially with the fresh strawberries! I would thoroughly recommend.

Booked by the Boyfriend for a night away- was a bit dubious- but he got it spot on! What a lovely peaceful clean pleasant place to stay. Room was spotless, lovely big bathroom with large shower cubicle. Room had all we needed for a night away. Jan and Gary were the perfect hosts. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious and... More

We went there for a last minute weekend away and found it very clean and tidy with great host's. A very warm welcome when you arrive. The only downside we found was the shower (room 3) was very slow and unpredictable.

First visit to the Marden, a very warm welcome when we arrived , Jan & Gary couldn't have been more helpful.. We was a group of 8 staying down Weymouth for a 2 days fishing on one of the charter boats, When we was asked what time we wanted breakfast, we asked if 6am would be possible "certainly not a... Myself and seven other keen anglers who were down in Weymouth stayed in this fantastic guest house for three nights whilst we had a couple of day trips out wreck fishing with the Katie Anne. The couple who run the guest house are incredibly welcoming and the whole stay was excellent. We had tea, coffee or beer offered on arrival... More

Back to the Marden for our first visit of 2014 & if anything, it was even better than the 2013 version. Gary has spent the winter months refurbishing room 4, which we normally have, not that it really needed it. However, the bathroom in particular is much improved with new shower, sink unit & WC. Somehow it now feels bigger.... More
