We stayed at Birch House after returning on the ferry from Jersey. I researched various B&B's and chose this one because of its closeness to the terminal. It was a HUGE success. Only a 10 minute drive (by Satnav in the rushhour) away from the terminal but in a lovely, quiet leafy neighbourhood. We were recommended to a local pub... More

Beautiful Rooms and wonderful friendly service. A little bit out of town but well worth the extra leg work. Our room was lovely, modern and clean. We received a warm welcome to the house and were offered a lovely pot of tea and home made biscuits. We were made to feel very welcome. Had a lovely night out try and... More

Kathy was very friendly and made us feel at home, beautiful rooms throughout, fabulous breakfast and choice, only stayed one night but will return again and stay longer next time, we took our Westie and he also loved it. Nice walk down to the beach and good parking outside the house.

Very impressed by such a lovely place. The hosts were so friendly, the house has been decorated to a very high standard and is very warm and cosy. The rooms are big with ensuite and the bed are very comfortable. The owners have 2 lovely dogs: Daisy and Lola. Nice breakfast in the morning with a good variety. My girlfriend... More

Kathy, Pete, Daisy and Lola are very friendly and welcoming. The decor is great and you are made to feel at home. We were welcomed with a much needed cup of tea and some homemade shortbread. The breakfast has good choice and there is fresh fruit and yoghurt also available.

Stayed for 1 night in June and i was very impressed with the how quiet, clean and relaxing the B&B was. It's a lovely house with a beautiful garden and Kathy was very welcoming. Also lovely area to go for a relaxing walk of run down down to the sea front.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay and were delighted with our experience. It was the first time that we had used a B&B and would definitely recommend a stay in Birch House. Kathy and Pete were extremely welcoming and the accommodation was beautiful: large enough that you had your own space but cosy enough to allow you... More

After a dreadful car journey, it was lovely to be welcomed at Birch House B&B by Kathy (and the dogs, of course!) with the offer of a cup of tea. Birch House is a fantastic place and our room was very comfortable with an amazing bathroom. The atmosphere is very welcoming and it was great to spend a quiet moment... More

Stayed here for 4 nights on 15th June 2014 and we were not disappointed. Kathy and Pete were very welcoming. We booked the King size deluxe room which was expensive but well worth it, en-suite had that wow factor. Courtesy tray was replenished daily with everything one could need. Breakfast was cooked to order and had a very varied choice,... More
