From grandparents, parents, children and couples.everyone had a great time. Meals were well catered for, dinner was excellent. Plenty to do, or just sit and enjoy . Nursery staff picking children up for Sunday breakfast wonderful for mum and dad.

The manor is very quirky and an interesting place to stay. Clearly there is a lot of history here which is evident from the eclectic pictures, taxidermy etc that is prolific through the hotel. Some of the staff were helpful in attempting to explain some of the history (although some staff members didn't seem too interested/were not that helpful). It... More

Our visit was so disappointing as we had paid a lot of money to stay here. The hotel is old, tired and shabby, and certainly not shabby chic. The food was ok at night, but the breakfast left a lot to be desired. I'd decided to splash out on a massage but after eventually finding the spa I felt very... More

Moonfleet is misleading its a pampering spa hotel. Google result states "Our spa - Our spa hotel...". You click the "Download OUR spa brochure" link on their website, the front has photos of luxurious pool and spa areas you assume is Moonfleet. More shabby than chic and could have been cleaner - I had to brush crumbs off the sofa... More

This was the first holiday with my husband and 18mth old without Grandparents and I was nervous. I needed a relaxing holiday myself, I wanted to spend quality baby-time and also to have time as a couple. It completely met my expectations. The staff were lovely, the food fantastic and the facilities very impressive. (Facilities = 2h creche included/ soft... More

From the aperitifs in the colonial-style lounge to the after-dinner coffee, the whole experience just couldn't have been better. The meal was superb, the ambience typical of a family venue, the staff as good as they come, the cost (£141 incl. drinks & wine for 2 mothers, me and a grandson) about right. And afterwards, billiards, table-tennis, cricket, etc in... More

We booked a family week-end here, and were very much looking forward to the hotel. Our roo/suite was in the sea-side, but be warned that there is not much of a view. That would not have mattered had the room been nice, but it was overcrowded with mismatched furniture which we had to reorganise too feel more comfortable. The windows... More

We had the most perfect winter wedding at Moonfleet Manor which we hired exclusively in January 2014. All our guests arrived on the Friday evening and stayed until Sunday morning, which gave the feel of a fun country house party weekend. We were married at St. Nicholas Church in Abbotsbury on the Saturday before returning to Moonfleet for the reception.... More

Moonfleet Manor is beautifully situated with a fine old building at its heart. But it falls wildly short of its hefty 'luxury' price tag. At around £1000 for two nights B&B (2 adults and a 5yr old) you expect something special. For this price you could stay at the Savoy. What you get is a shock. For the sake of... More

Dear Sarah S, Every now and again, a hotel gets it wrong. We got it wrong and I have sincerely apologised to you in email form and have asked when might be a convenient time to call you to discuss your stay further. Unfortunately, I have not had a reply to my email or my several previous telephone calls, so... More

We had a fantastic weekend and would not hesitate to return again. The hotel was a very good all round hotel. The food was excellent, the staff were extremely attentive. Our room was lovely and the facilities were second to none.
