I can't really fault the family room we stopped in I found it clean and tidy but the down fall was breakfast continental if that's what you called continental not to my liking but at the end of day the prices here are cheap for each night stay so it didn't bother us that we went out to pay and... It's a great choice to stay in the old castle hotel. The rooms are nice, they will be cleaned every day and everything is made of a lovely hand. If you stay here you can feel the warmth of the staff. You feel really welcome. Only a few minutes away you can have a great view to Portland or you... More

Not a good experience, poor standard of room and sheets were stained and not ironed. Breakfast was poor even for a continental one. The general cleanliness was not up to an acceptable standard. Overall we were very disapointed.

We stayed in this B&B for one night on a visit to Weymouth. The room was clean but needs updating and maybe a change of furniture as the bed is on its last legs (room 3). I was very surprised to be told on arrival that the breakfast would be a continental one. There is a restaurant, a professional kitchen... More

We visited Ruan Thai restaurant on Thursday 24th October and this restaurant is definitely one of my 'Best Ever' - the young girl who served me and my family was the friendliest person I have ever met! The service she provided was absolutely faultless - very attentive and full of smiles. She put her customers first (whether they were picking... More

Stopped in for a quick pint on a dog walk along the Rodwell Trail. A traditional, no nonsense pub inside which doesn't appear to have been modernised for a very long time. The landlord seemed quite friendly - said it was fine for us to bring the dog through the bar and into the garden. The ale I had was... More

If you like old smelly furniture out of the 60s and wouldn't mind sleeping above a potential fire hazard ( Duct tape fixes all) then stay in room Nr. 2! its above the kitchen so its nice and hot in the sommer and the smelly will delight your senses, even when your a sleep. A continental breakfast is not 2... More

We stayed here last weekend in Room 4 ( family room ). It was clean, light and airy. There was an en suite bathroom and shower plus tea, coffee and hot chocolate supplies. The staff were helpful without being intrusive and even though they only serve a continental breakfast the croissants were beautiful. It was also good value and really... More

shower was dirty and would not stay at constant temperature,no where to put soap or shower gel, i.e no shelf or storage for any toiletries.Breakfast was a joke, and could only eat it in your room which consisted of an apple, a banana and a croisssant. Beer was expensive even compared to seafront prices. the whole place in need of... More

Ok based upon a second visit for 3 nights: None on suite family room this time. Bigger than on suite and bigger TV. I preferred it as bathrooms so close. A bit noisier but not bad at all. Great location for price as a 20 minute scenic walk into Weymouth. Breakfast good for continental but plastic croissants. Good hot drink... More
