Meeting up with old friends and Weymouth was halfway point. Royal Oak in good position with parking. Warm welcome by landlady, warm clean family rooms, great breakfast, nothing was too much trouble. Royal Oak is a locals pub and made to feel welcome. Good Indian restaurant over the road.

We stayed in a room in the converted stablesfor 6 nights. Our room had easy access as requested because of mobility problems and fitted our requirements beautifully. The decor was modern, upto date and in good order. Our hostess Jane was charming and made us very welcome. We felt very comfortable and at home. The court yard for residents was... More

This has been our second visit to the Royal Oak. The pub offers good budget accommodation in a clean and friendly environment.Breakfasts are an optional extra and as we did not participate I cannot comment on quality or value for money. The pub however does not offer evening meals or "pub grub" and so you will need to plan your day... My wife and I stayed here for two nights in May and had a lovely time. Jane is great and everyone who works here cannot do enough for you. Recommend the fry up in the mornings. Will definitely stay here again. Pete & Debby (and Bailey the Staffy) Oxford.

We just had 3 nights stay at Royal Oak, and we are very pleased with every thing. We stayed in room 4, which is family room in court yard. It was very clean, very quiet, large en suite bathroom + toilet (very clean) , very comfortable beds with large bunk bed for our 15 year old and 10 year old.... More

On arrival we were greeted pleasantly and had a nice chat with the food owner. We were shown our room which was up in the roof a first time for my wife in an English pub. The room was comfortable and well furnished if not slightly dated. The down side was we had to share a toilet and the shower... More

A pleasant stay, marred by my car being vandalised, whilst spent overnight in hotel car park. The car park has a sign stating that the hotel do not accept responsibilty for damage incurred. I therefore did not inform the owners of the damage,as it seemed pretty pointless.

We were recommended this place by friends who'd stayed here previously and weren't disappointed. The room was spotlessly clean, light and airy with the little touches needed to make the stay comfortable without being OTT. The people were friendly and in a positive way, just handed over the keys and let us do our own thing with no intrusion. They... More
