We were very fortunate to find The Cottage for a five night stay. It was a perfect and central base for us to explore the sights, beaches, towns and villages of Dorset. We would normally choose a hotel but any reservations we had about booking a B&B were very quickly dispelled when we arrived to a warm welcome. Maureen was... More

We visit Weymouth once a year and up until now have never managed to find the perfect place to stay with our dog. We are so pleased we have now found The Cottage in Sutton Poyntz. We were all made to feel very welcome, and our late arrival time was accommodated without a problem. Our room was cosy and well... More

Our third visit and hope it won't be the last. Fabulous surroundings , immaculate rooms and attention to detail. Maureen and Mark are the perfect hosts , always very helpful and accommodating. Breakfasts cooked to order with a great choice of locally produced and organic ingredients. Maureen continues to make the most yummy homemade jam which is served every morning... More

My partner and I booked a weekend in Weymouth and after searching nearby Bed and Breakfast accomodation we opted for the Cottage due to the great reviews on Trip Advisor. The cottage was very quaint and impecably kept and was situated a bit outside weymouth but within walking distance of the beach, local pubs and shops. I felt that the... More

Stayed one night after last minute cancellation of previously arranged accommodation. Turned out to be a very fortuitous change of plans as this is a beautiful and enjoyable place to stay. Very helpful and welcoming hosts, rooms beautifully decorated and prepared. Delightful breakfast enjoyed on deck in back garden. Pub in Sutton Poyntz is a 10 minute walk and a... More

I stayed at The Cottage before attending a wedding. The rooms, toilets and living areas were very well kept and clean. The couple who run the house were so friendly and accommodating. The next morning we enjoyed a fabulous cooked English breakfast with fresh local ingredients sat out on the decking in a picturesque garden.

A friend and I stayed with Mo and Mark while on a walking holiday along the Dorset coast. Nothing was too much trouble and our experience would be hard to fault. Although a little more expensive than the average b and b, you certainly get what you pay for in extra luxury.

Spent a very relaxed 3 night midweek stay at The Cottage and would recommend to all. The bedroom and en-suite bathroom were spotlessly clean with plenty of fluffy towels and toiletries provided. There was also herbal teas, chocolate, coffee and biscuits in the room. Plenty to eat at breakfast too with a wide range of food on offer. Maureen was... More
