After reading past reviews we were a bit worried. Our son and daughter had bought us a 2 night stay with dinner for Christmas. This is a simple hotel but we had a really nice time. The dinner on Friday was lovely and as we wanted to watch the football we started in the restaurant but moved to the bar... More

My daughter bought us a two night break, with one of those coupon things as a Christmas present. I chose The Richmoor because it had parking, and a lot of the hotels along Weymouth seafront do not have this facility. It was lucky for us that I had decided to book for the third weekend of March, as just after... More

You can rest assured that you will be well looked after by the staff at the Richmoor Hotel. Very polite, friendly, and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Even the Head Chef was out and about and only too willing to answer any questions people had - a Chef at the top of his trade!

Have stayed here a number of times, a beautiful view over the bay and very convenient for town. It very much has the personal touch and the staff are very friendly. The meals are always enjoyable with a little bit of variety and added ingredients to avoid the normal fayre. Evening quiz games and dancing provide wonderful entertainment.

We were returning from a family funeral and needed somewhere to stay prior to our early morning ferry back home. We booked this hotel on line and it was only after that we discovered it was holding a "themed" weekend "HI-Di-HI". Not exactly what we were in the mood for after a funeral! We received a great welcome and were... More

I am very disappointed to read your review as the title "we were wrong to book" gives a very bad impression about the hotel especially as you kindly stated it was clean and recently repainted, the breakfast was very good and such a good position etc. After the conversation I had with you on the phone prior to arrival and... The room was poor and over priced, bathroom poor, staff clueless . Breakfast was good however hence the poor rating rather than terrible. Did have wifi thank goodness but lift access was terrible only went to second floor even though we stayed on the third.

The richmoor is a very friendly family run hotel. They couldn't do enough for us and were always helpful. The food is amazing, and the service is brilliant! The rooms are lovely, very clean and cosy, and were cleaned each morning. Evening entertainment always brought a good crowd and atmosphere. I'd recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Weymouth.... On arrival we found the receptionist to be friendly and informative. We went straight to our room on the third floor. It was very clean, warm and nicely decorated as was the bathroom. The first evening was Fawlty Towers themed and it was brilliant, Basil, Sibel and manuel put on a great show with guest participation. Thoroughly enjoyed it and... More
