We stayed here on a Itison deal, one of the reasons we chose the hotel was it is pet friendly, that evening we could not believe our luck, the value of our evening meal was more than the voucher price, and the food was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant especially to our dog, the receptionist showed us... More

We stayed here on 20th July 2014 and for what we paid we just couldn't fault it! Yes the decor is extremely dated and it could do with new furnishings especially bedding (mattress was ANCIENT and pillows and duvet were worse for wear) but on the whole we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly the room was clean... More

The photos on the hotel website are so far from reality that the hotel should be reported for false advertising. This is a 2 star hotel so I wasn't expecting the Ritz but the general state of repair was so bad its as though the owners are going out of their way to make it bad. We stayed in room... More

Just stayed here the one night on a very cheap dinner b&b deal. Public areas and dining room were lovely, bedrooms and corridors very tired and in need of the TLC that this grand old building deserves. Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was good and plentiful. Overall great value for money and would definitely return ( with a... More

Yes, it is run down, and yes, it could do with updating, but it was clean, comfortable and the evening meal was excellent, as were the friendly staff. Breakfast was great too. I enjoyed the stay on beautiful Deeside. Great value for money.

Firstly, the staff here were absolutely lovely in every way. Everyone we met and talked to was so hospitable. What was uncanny though was the APPALLINGLY maintained property. It was almost to the point of disbelief!!! The caring nature of the staff was such that even the most appallingly maintained room was spotless, which is amazing... I cant imagine what... More

We stayed on Thursday 19 June for one night, our room was lovely with a huge comfy bed, settee, nicely furnished with plenty of light and a decent bathroom, so all good to start with. Unfortunately when we left our room to go downstairs we found that we could not lock the door, it was impossible to lock the door... More

What a find.... Quaint hotel that was very welcoming - staff can't do enough for you. Lovely building set in Scotland's countryside. Motor bike rally as well as wedding guests at the hotel on same night kept young and old entertained. Totally amazing all you can eat full Scottish in the morning was out of this world. Can't wait for... More
