My first impression of the Lodge was that the carpet to the entrance was outdated and gave an amateur feel about the place, but the rest of the Lodge on the Loch experience was fabulous. It was 24 hours of heaven, we had the hotel to ourselves, the massage was relaxing, the wine in the hot tub and the sauna... More

Cheerful welcome and helpful staff. Our rooms were clean, but things like blown light bulbs, broken light fixture, not enough towel sets for the number of people, not enough care with replenishing coffee stocks and the wrong, used towels put in our interconnecting rooms detracted from the experience. Rooms overlooking the loch or golf course best; we were at the... More

Great hotel, lovely food, beautiful surroundings and fantastic staff. Would definitely recommend. Didn't get a chance to have a round of golf but the course looked very good from what i could tell. Very relaxing business trip.

Fabulous in all aspects , from the moment we arrived till we left we received first class service. Everything exceeded our expectations, the view from our room, the spa treatment and the restaurant/food service. The Lodge offers the perfect getaway and should pride itself on the fact it achieves it. We will definitely return and will pass on our recommendation... More

Booked for our first wedding anniversary an overnight spa break for myself and my husband. Lovely setting with room overlooking the loch, very relaxed atmosphere and we were made to feel most welcome by Derek and Jean. Quiet time of year to go but made it all the more peaceful for a break away. Spa treatments were very relaxing after... More

I enjoyed my stay in the hotel and will prefer to stay there again. The rooms are very modern. Beautiful view of the lake. Staff is extremely friendly and caring. The food was quite good as well. It is located in a peaceful location.

Very comfortable rooms with a stunning view over the loch with snow clad mountains in the distance. Only thing missing in the room was a bath to ease aching muscles after fishing on the Dee. However I'm sure if we had been able to stay longer, Jean would have eased the aches for us with one of her treatments. The... More

For our short stay in Aboyne we stayed at the Lodge. The setting was beautiful beside the Loch with lots of bird life to see. The owners were very attentive and helpful which made our visit very pleasant. Would definitely return again .

Just returned from a 2 night Tranquility Spa break which my husband & I enjoyed very much. The room was very comfortable with a lovely view over the loch which was home to a variety of birds including a kingfisher. The food was all delicious and the wines delightful. We both thoroughly enjoyed our treatments with Jean who is an... More
