We have been staying at Brow Farm at least once a year since Wendy opened the B&B, and always enjoy our visits. Wendy & Chris make us feel very welcome, & the rooms are very clean, well equipped & comfortable. The views from the farm are stunning too.

Nice large room, but not very clean. The bathroom seems not be cleaned after previous guests. Landlady was not very friendly and we did not feel very welcome. Breakfast was average, mushrooms and tomato just warmed up in the microwave. We would not come back again. For us no four star B&B.

Thank you for your response. I am sorry you were not satisfied with the accommodation when you stayed here. I do find that in most cases with the odd exception people who have negative comments to make are the only ones who use such media as Trip Advisor. I have many satisfied guests who are quite happy to return on... More

Spent 2 Nights at Brow Farm B&B a barn conversion property just on the entry to the village of Dufton on the road in from Appleby. Wendy made us very welcome and our en-suite room had a lovely view to the fells to the North. The breakfast was very good with a good variety of cereal and fresh fruit. Would... More

We spent two nights in Billy Croft Cottage, a comfortable two-bed barn conversion opposite the B&B. It was extremely spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Ideal location for walks up to Dufton Pike and High Cup Nick and also right on the Pennine Way. We would definitely go back!

Very pleasant, spacious ensuite room. Good facilities. Good service. Very recommendable for an overnight stay while hiking the Pennine Way. Packed lunch could have been better, but I must admit I did only ask for this the night of arrival and not while booking.

Just had a relaxing stay on the quiet side of Cumbria. The price was reasonable with the winter discount. Welcoming and food were good. Would recommend.

Very well placed in Dufton, ideal for walking. For a 4 star B & B this is not up to the same standard as many others of the same rating. Although adequate, areas such the welcome and a make over for the room are desirable.

Walking into Dufton on the Pennine way, it was nice to see the well appointed B&B on the route in. Unfortunatley Wendy had been called away urgently and we had to let ourselves in. The sitting room was pleasant and there was an area to the rear of the property to dry our gear. We were unable to access our... More

Room was comfortable but on arrival there was no loo roll in bathroom and no milk for the tea making facilities which we had to ask for. The breakfast was average but probably the worst aspect was the service which was not at all welcoming and not attentive. Location is good for the Pennine way.
