Lovely building in a quiet setting close to the Minster. The manager was very welcoming and the room was clean and tidy. Would definitely visit again. The Minster has a medieval man powered crane that was used to build the church. It's in the tower and can be seen on guided tours.

I used to live in Beverley and always wondered what this building was used for and on a visit back to Beverley found out it was now a YHA hostel. The hostel was booked out for two groups and I could only stay for one night, but it was worth it! Such a lovely old building within walking distance from... More

I live in Beverley so don't need to stay here but love the look of the building and grounds from the outside and have peered in through the window. When I learned of the open day I was keen to look around. I was impressed by the character and charm of both the inside and garden. There is lots of... More

We visited as part of a large group who booked out the entire venue. Good value, fantastic interesting old building, good cooking facilities. Wifi would have been good, but then again it was nice to have the break. Off road parking for 6 cars, centrally located to explore the area.

As part of our walks around Beveley we wanted to see this lovely old building, now converted to a YHA hostel. It is hidden away surrounded by a modern development of flats and townhouses just a few meters away from the Minster. It still looks like a medieval Friary from the outside and the conversion has ensured the buildings future... More

I stayed three nights using the Hostel as a base for exploring the area by cycle (I ride tricycles). Just a great hostel with all the local amenities on the door step. Two lady volunteer wardens so helpful and friendly. Don't miss choral evensong in the Minster on Thursday evenings (not school holidays)

A one night stay following a visit to The Deep in nearby Hull. Wonderful market town with gorgorus shops and the stay at this YHA was the icing on the cake. For under £25 we had an en suite room looking out at the Minster. There are many old and original features in the building and pleasant gardens. While I... More

Firstly Youth Hostels are fabulous value for money, 6 of us in a room with 3 sets of bunk beds for £59 is nothing, there is absolutely no room at all for any negatives at that price. The setting is perfect being an old Friary, some parking, close to the town centre, key code access to the main entrance, friendly host... More

Sometimes yha can be a bit starchy, but things have improved. keycode door to allow access out of hours. Comfy mattresses for great nights kip and no endless squeaky springs! This is a great historic restored building, with many period features retained and some rooms dedicated to showcasing its history.... its a building that would be worth visiting even if... More
