After attending many events at this hotel because of work over the years, I decided to stay there after my retirement night in Beverley. Oh how I wish I hadn't as I would never have had the disappointment ! First room looked "ok" until we went into the bathroom. Stained bowl mould around the bath and the tiles. The shower... More

We stayed for one night on busy weekend in East Yorkshire and got what I assume was the last room available, because it left some things to be desired. The bathroom in particular was a throwback with ugly little tiles, horrid flooring and an extractor fan that wasn't working, nor was there anywhere to put toiletries. The lighting in the... More

This was my second visit on account of a shortage of availability in Beverley. The hotel is okay but not the best. It is in desperate need of investment. I was in the more 'modern' extension: - The corridors smelt stale and the carpets were dog-eared. - The room was clean but tired. - The window lock was broken and... More

We stayed for one night after the races and must stress we would stay again. Our room was 118 which is in the older front part of the hotel but at the back overlooking the courtyard. I know the rooms at the front have a great view of the church but the main road outside seemed busy and we did... More

I stayed here for one night when I attended a wedding nearby. It was good value in a town centre that served my purpose adequately. I would agree with lots of the reviewers here and say that the hotel is in need of some updating particularly in the old part of he hotel. I didn't eat there but some friends... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. It is a very good thing that we were out and about for most of the time, because the room was very shabby and depressing. The bathroom had so many faults....stained toilet bowl; faulty shower head; grubby bath; no chain on sink plug; dirty floor...and this was just for starters! The... More

Used this with a voucher so got an exceptionally good deal. Stayed 2 nights and had a lovely room at the front of the hotel overlooking a large beautiful church. Nice and clean with a comfortable bed. Shower was pretty good as well. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is being refurbished at present and what we saw... More

We enjoyed our two night stay. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious, especially the afternoon tea! Shops and station nearby so we didn't' need to use the car, although the hotel had a large car park. Would definitely use again.
