I'm a bit fussy about my ale. After trawling through most of the Beverley pubs over a 3 day period, this was the best! Bar staff was somewhat lacklustre but did the job and the open fire was a bonus on the cold nights we visited.

The Dog & Duck Inn is a traditional pub serving a variety of quality beers. The landlord Mark is a very pleasant and sociable guy and along with his staff always gives everyone a great welcome. Lunchtime is always active when quality food can be ordered at sensible prices. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a traditional experience.

Called on a busy Saturday....lovely log fire burning...friendly staff...excellent value meals...on a little side street but worth looking for...A steady stream of regulars as well as visitors...We had main meals but on looking round lots seemed to be ordering the sandwiches and sides of chips...can't go wrong for the price..

I went to visit friends and was looking for a place to sleep for a couple of nights. I needed it to be reasonable, clean and close to the town centre and the Dog & Duck Inn ticked all these boxes! The rooms are situated in a separate building behind the pub, so I didn't experience any noise issues. Breakfast... More

Stayed one night for visit to Beverley racecourse. I liked the rooms in the courtyard (and parking outside your room is very useful). Room comfortable, breakfast very good, beers great, landlord friendly and helpful (and incredibly hard-working). Excellent base for exploring Beverley. Only two negatives - sound insulation in the rooms is not great, so I could hear the folk... More

We always look to visit here when in Beverley. There is a good range of well priced beers and wine by the bottle is remarkably cheap .Food is well cooked and very affordable and the staff are very attentive.

This is not a 5* hotel. It is a working pub, selling real ale in the centre of town. The accommodation is in a separate building in a rear courtyard, with car parking directly outside the rooms. The room I was in was clean with a single bed with fluffy pillows and duvet. It had loads of drawers and a... More

The staff are all friendly and welcoming. The pub prices are among the lowest around. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast great. Excellent location quiet but within yards of the centre of beverley. All in all an excellent place to stay on a budget.
