We had our wedding reception at The Bell and it was a wonderful experience all round. We had guests from all over the UK, the US and Ireland, and all of them thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. If you’re looking for a modern-styled hotel with brand-new fixtures and appliances, The Bell isn’t it (though the rooms were well-kept and everything worked... more

I needed to be in Driffield for a private matter urgently. I called around and the Bell seemed to be the only hotel in the area. Having known the Bell for many years I felt confident it would be a good stay. However the entire building is in desperate need of investment and the phrase "resting on its laurels" couldn't... more

Booked this hotel via the Best Western website as it is well positioned as a base for touring East Yorkshire and the wolds. It's located right in the centre of the town on the market square and this causes noise problems for guests staying in the poorly soundproofed rooms at the front of the building from traffic and rowdy crowds... more

Cute hotel, lots of charm, pool very clean & facilities great, had them all to ourselves! Breakfast excellent, room spot-on,except we had a luxury room which was facing the main street,so very noisy sat night until 1am with drunks walking past, ask for a room at the back of the hotel. more

We booked this hotel as a health spa package because of the high rating's this hotel and spa have. The room's are very large and have everything you could need for a stay here...However, they are extremely dated, wether you view this as a positive or a negative it depend's on what kind of hotel you want. Personaly i thought... more

Dreadful. Rowdy location. Expect to park elsewhere in the town and walk back to the hotel. Enter your top of the range room/suite via the basement - a dungeon-like experience. Expect to sleep at ground floor level overlooking the too small hotel/pub car park & 2 pub back doors where drinkers congregate to smoke, kindly propping the doors open so... more

Stayed here for a couple of nights for a friend's wedding. From the road, The Bell is a fairly anonymous building on the main street of Driffield. Step inside, and the place is a wonderful maze of rooms and corridors, with parts dating back to the 1700s. Officially it's a 3 star hotel, but it has a higher quality and... more

Arrived late evening and was allocated a smoking room instead of non-smoking, error on part of my company's booking agent, staff very kindly re-allocated another room for me which was cosy and comfortable however with a single bed. after breakfast next day staff very kindly moved me to a double room with a small sitting room aside. Nothing was too... more

Only stayed for one night whilst visiting family. The bar is 1940s grandeur with leather seating and a world class choice of malt whiskys. The rooms are luxuriously appointed and large, I spent £120 for one night which wasnt cheap but the ambience and quality of the room was first class. All in all this is the only place to... more

We enjoyed a spa day for couples, we had the stress buster relaxation option. The day started with 45 minutes in a hydrotherapy pool with jets and bubbles galore. We were lucky to have the pool all to ourselves. Then we moved on to the Rasul chamber - this was the part that had led us to book in the... more
