It's a pub B&B, with ensuite rooms. My room was as expected from a pub, perfectly adequate. Only problem was that two lights were not working, so a bit dark when I came back to the room later on! Pub downstairs friendly and a couple of real ales (from Greene King) on offer. Breakfast Ok. At the top end of... More

People you must eat at the Red Lion Driffield. The right people are in the right places, a very warm welcome from the professional bar people. It is advised to book a table at buisy times, but even if you don't you will get a table within 30 mins. The meal we had was excellent in every way, cooked to... More

We were on our way home from Scarborough to Essex & wanted an evening meal. It was pouring with rain & difficult to see. We suddenly saw the car park entrance to the Red Lion & pulled in. The greeting was warm & friendly, as was the fire, [it is May after all] We ordered the steak pie & it... More

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the red lion public house for my daughters wedding on Saturday 17th May 2014. Our room was spotless and we were even allowed to check in earlier due to time of wedding. The breakfast even though served early was lovely with good quality produce. I would deffinately recommend here for an overnight stay

A three night walking break over the weekend - we read the reviews on trip advisor and were prepared for the noise ..it didn't disappoint !!! Lee and Jo owners of the pub couldn't do enough for us and after a misunderstanding over breakfast times treated us to a free meal and drinks and a partial refund for our inconvenience... More

Rooms situated above a pub bar. Adequate for purpose. bathroom area very small and toilet that would not work properly, maserator system unasble to cope with waste. Really put off as we sat in the room waiting to be served breakfast when we could see the 'Chef' dishing up food onto our plates with his bare hands, hygene issues here.

Just sent new years eve here a bit of a disapointment!!!! after a good night we went to bed at 01 00hrs only to find that loud music still playing at 02 00. I understand that it was a party night but been a hotel there should be some consideration to that fact. At 02 00 I went to the... More

Easy to find and decent parking. Room was fairly clean, and an effort had clearly been made with the styling and finishing touches of the room, but rough/unfinished around the edges. My room faced onto the main street and the large window was single glazed, that coupled with my impending job interview did not make for a restful nights sleep,... More

A tired old Pub with rooms. Kicked out of the front bar and told to sit in the back bar which was utterly dreadful. Had a beer and left. Ate in town at a great *** hotel. Didn't eat in the pub for the smell of oil and the chips on the floor. Tables needed a clean. Banging door kept... More
