After finishing work for Christmas we came here for lunch. There were 30 of us and we had pre ordered our meals. Each table was served and all the food was piping hot. We had starters including sweet chilli prawns pulled pork rissoles and nachos on our table. All were lovely. And we followed this with surf and turf, bean... More

Another fantastic meal with the family, one of the best places to eat in Driffield and such good value. Steak and ale pie is amazing 2 for £10. I had steak which came with all the trimmings so if you have a good appetite then this is the place to be.

Our family and friends stayed at the Red Lion last weekend and although the bedrooms are a little bit tired the friendly staff more than made up for any shortfalls there and the breakfast was absolutely first class and we had enough on the table to feed an army. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

Previously have throughly enjoyed the food and the overall experience. However on my most recent visit, a chicken starter was raw, pink and cold. These were replaced without trouble, however the sausages from a main for a small child were also raw. This time a diffrent waitress was extremely rude. She told us that it was not her problem. We were advised of a wedding reception in the afternoon and that no food would be available but were not informed there would be load music playing until 1am. We were given room directley above the music. When i complained i was ignored.

Went with my wife, our 2 children and another couple with their three for Sunday lunch. Quickly shown to our table drink order taken promptly and given enough time to browse menu before ordering. Food was fantastic with ample portions and not to much for the children.

Me and my wife popped in for a bite to eat, we were greeted by a friendly girl who found us a table even though we hadn't booked, there was loads of choice on the menu, then we were informed that it was two meals for a tenner, or two steak meals for 15. I had chicken pieces for starter... More

nice clean, well decorated room with all necessary amenities. Friendly welcome and explanation of breakfast order and keys etc. Good value at £50 for a short notice Bank Holiday Sunday booking. Lovely breakfast and well stocked bar. Downside for us was no evening food, especially as the menu sounded great! It was noisy with music and voices, but no more... More

Truly dreadful - shabby room with paper thin curtains, wonky wall heater and tv, electric shower either scalding hot or ice cold with such a pathetic water flow it was almost impossible to wash my hair. The band playing the night we unfortunately stayed might as well have been in the bedroom with us and when they eventually stopped, the... More
